Well maybe it's time for an official server from this dev team. Recently on Apex Reddit the dev team created a topic to encourage players to link up:

I think the community would be better served if the devs just partner with the services that are available. Currently, the only cross-platform service is Discord.
We all know that Apex has a solo queue problem. Most players believe the solo queue problem is a matchmaking problem, and it isn't.
Matchmaking systems will never be able to bring like-minded players together, it's nearly impossible. Matchmaking systems can only bring players together who are initiating matches at the same time and try to link players together using a specific measurement. For example, a players rank.
The longer the wait time the easier the system can find three D1 players. The shorter the wait time the harder the system will be able to find the same tier players, which results in the D1 player being matched with lower tier players. Even if the system compiles three D1 players together it doesn't mean those players will be like-minded.
The devs keep stirring the same matchmaking pot and then asking "Does it taste different?". The answer is No! It tastes the same. They need to season the pot with ingredients to assist matchmaking. After 7.5 years this reality isn't being accepted. I've always advocated for more social networking tools in-game. Although, after fully utilizing Discord and recognizing its potential to alleviate the solo queue problem, in some capacity, I'm fully on-board with strong integration into Apex overall.
