@Gidoru I think it's more likely that it just isn't the same amount of muzzleflash and effects due to graphics limitations. I'd need someone with an xbox one x to comment as they would have better graphics than me. The aim assist doesn't really change what I see though.

Im not saying the aim assist changes what you see. Im saying that because the aim assist tracks the target for you through the muzzle flash you wouldnt notice it as much because its not causing you to miss shots. Even if you cant see the target the aim assist will pull the reticle in the direction they are moving.
Its entirely possible they lowered it on consoles, I dont know. But like i said there are several clips on the Apex reddit like the one i posted where you cannot see the target at all because of muzzle flash. I think maybe?? they lowered the muzzle flash a little bit in season 2 not sure, but its still pretty bad particularly in dark areas and shadows. In dark areas sometimes even enemies muzzle flash completely obscures them to the point you cannot see them at all.
