REMOVE MASTIFF ! OMG !
I swear ! I got killed by a guy level 60 ! plz it's a beginner ! MASTIFF requires no shot ! How to ruin a game with 12 bombs cuz of this noob gun ! get brain when you are doing some updates !

I agree with mastif having such high dmg and 0 skill requirement to use it should be a bit nerfed. I dont ming getting obliterated with shotguns but man 7/10 deaths are always due to mastif. If they replace it with pk again i think it would be more beneficial since at least pk has a bit slower pellet speed (as far as i noticed). and requires you to acually hit center of mass for max dmg where mastif is way too forgiving weapon to use. Sry about me ranting a bit but mastif is getting out of control and you can find him easly in any game you play so its really frustrating having 2/3 apex octane jumping at you with 3 of them blasting you at the same time.
@Vl-cera I wasn't sure which thread to reply to you in but your memory of the PK might be a bit off. Shotguns are not a weapon type that typically requires much skill but the PK is even easier to use than the Mastiff while being more lethal at range.
Its been a while since I've seen it tested but the PK originally fired at least as fast or faster than the Mastiff. Until you get a purple bolt which makes the Mastiff faster.
R-99 + PK dominated apex in the early days and there were many complaints about it though I didn't care about the PK either.
Problem is that EA doesn't give a flying f about these forums...
no theproblem is that you guys dont understand the idea of shotguns.
they are supposed to be the strongtest type of weapons in close combat.
and they are in apex.
so if you run into close combat or let the enemy engage you in close combat while you do not have a shotgun, they are superior.
it also requires skill to not let that happen.
(which is the other thing you do not want to understand)
the best weaponry to counter shotguns is mid- to longrange weapons to not let them get close.
i also understand that a lot of people do not WANT to play like that. they do not want to snipe, or 3030 longrange
to soften players up. they think its boring.
but that is just them not wanting to use the full potential of the whole weapon arsenal there is in apex imho.
i also see it in tournament games.
the first round of ALGS NA was very passive i felt. 19 teams within the last 2 circles.
and very few teams had a sniper on their team. that dosent even make sense.
like 1 sniper should always be on your team to soften up pushing partys. then shotguns wont be that much of a problem, as they seem to be now for some people.
- @Triumphkutter Then you tell me how to not let that happen (fighting shotguns in close range). You can't just flee from the battle because the map doesn't allow you to do so (and of course the enemy player). And the fact that it one shot no armor player easily is so broken, you will just die to everyone you meet when you are so unlucky.
Back to KC, this map is small that the third team will definitely come when you are fighting with the other team. When you firing your rifles, it is telling all people that:
1. You are here.
2. You have 1 less weapon to fight in close combat.
Even if you tried to soften the party, they can just rekt you by their movement / abilities or using the other weapon to damage you. Don't forget that a player can use 2 guns in a fight.
For ALGS, since people want points, they will not play so aggressive. Remember the first point of snipers, it basically tells all players that you are here. So that will not be their first choice as they just want to live longer. Thus, there will be many people in the last few rings and mastiff is still the best weapon to fight at close range.
- @Zamaha400 yea palyed since the launch so maby my memory is a bit off but i get 2 pumped with mastif way often that pk... dunno maby i have a wierd luck
