REMOVE MASTIFF ! OMG !
I swear ! I got killed by a guy level 60 ! plz it's a beginner ! MASTIFF requires no shot ! How to ruin a game with 12 bombs cuz of this noob gun ! get brain when you are doing some updates !
@Zamaha400if you play the game at all I should not have to tell you why mastiff is OP. There’s a reason everybody uses it.
The nonsense that mastiff is better than pk is that mastiff is way more consistent than pk and it has crazy range for a shotgun. The spread of PK made it harder to hit high damage shots, a bad player will hit you for 11/22 dmg per pump. I rarely got destroyed as fast by the PK as I do regularly with the mastiff.
Personally I would be happy if both were removed for good thus ending the shotgun meta.
@Burnie_00 I was talking about it being easier to use not better. Both guns are fairly inconsistent with the Mastiff feeling worse to me.
The spread of the PK should make it slightly harder to hit shots but more likely to land high damage ones at least in theory.
Wide spread = I'll probably hit something.
Tight spread = IF I hit then you're dead.
The Mastiff advantages are a high rate of fire (with a bolt) and not having the awkward animation between each shot like the PK does.
The PK should have greater range and a better chance of high damage shots due to the more clustered spread.
I'd like to see both guns outside the care package a bit to compare though.
@Zamaha400 You are a maniac, if both pk and mastiff comes out of CP im quitting the game. PK without choke does not have nearly the same range as mastiff. You can pump someone for 70 dmg mid-close range with mastiff.

I don't know what you do, but I can land my Mastiff shots just fine. Same goes for the Peacekeeper, but frankly I prefer something with ammo that I can actually pick up. Just today I had the occurrence again that I only needed 3 shots to down someone, his friend came to aid, three-shotted him as well. The last guy I took out with my R-99 very easily. My whole squad was doing something else entirely, but honestly it feels a bit weird that I took out an entire squad with a little less than half health left with 2 of the most criticized weapons, without reloading once mid-fight.
That's kinda how Shotguns tend to be though…

The PK was equally a problem back then. A ton of people - including me - have complained about PK being too powerful. And it was. It deals a humongous amount of damage just like the Mastiff. With the added trait that it can choke it's spread and be a little more effective on mid-range. Both aren't hard to hit, but they hit hard.
If it was for me, both guns would be in the Care Package. Both the PK and the Mastiff are immensely powerful.
I do find out that players who defend the Mastiff use it constantly as they get easy kills and tend to stay away from the harder guns. They essentially want easy kills over using skills. Nothing more nothing less. If you don't run the Mastiff you die by it, run it or lose
@Burnie_00 My bad didn't explain that well. I just want to be able to compare the two guns in firing range without one being its buffed care package version. Memory can be unreliable so its nice to be able to test things.
@Peri_Longbow_plz Both guns are easy to use I just feel the PK is easier. There are reasons to argue otherwise (the horrible rechamber animation for the PK) but I suspect people think wider spread = easier gun. If players think so I want to know why.
