REMOVE MASTIFF ! OMG !

I swear ! I got killed by a guy level 60 ! plz it's a beginner ! MASTIFF requires no shot ! How to ruin a game with 12 bombs cuz of this noob gun ! get brain when you are doing some updates !

The latest patch nerfing the mastiffs damage is live. I wonder if the mastiff can still do this.

Mastiff is still OP, they should reduce the spawn rate!
Picture before S8 Chaos Theory Update... but they only reduce from 13 to 11 so there is not a lot getting better.

@Tom0ve I can tell you with rate fire buff, Mastiff still the same cheap OP * that it was. They can't even balance a god damn weapon.

@WreckingVi They likely don't believe the gun needs rebalancing yet. It may badly need a nerf but the arguments in favor of that are mostly bad. Made even worse by people who wanted to switch it with another gun that the community complained was OP ages ago (PK).
I'm starting to lean towards it being a problem but I lose interest every time someone mentions the Mastiff's fighting potential at range.

@WreckingVi Zeus hit someone for 102 earlier but they may not of had a helmet, from what I saw in the video the mastiff was still hitting for 50-70 at mid range so it still needs badly nerfed

you can do 106 dmg with a trippletake in close range also...
so what is the point?
it is a shotgun and therefor HAS TO BE STRONG in close combat.
within Apex Legends, there a plenty of really strong weapons.
Charged up Sentinel headshot through Rampart cover deals 216 damage.
yet noone useses it. as well as the legend.
so there will always be situations in which you will face off something you will find imbalanced in this very situation.
one last thing:
if you had grabbed the mastiff, and the enemy had gotten the RE45, you wouldnt have posted this here. i am sure. 1000000%
