Remove the Wingman

While I do agree that lucky headshots from an opponent make for really frustrating play, I don't see that as the main problem. The main problem with the wingman is that for mid to long range, skill being equal between the opponents, you basically need to have a wingman (or longbow for long range) to counter it. The person with the wingman can AD strafe very quick to avoid shots while still sending out damage. If the other person has anything other than a wingman or submachine gun, their strafing is significantly slower and the person with the wingman will be landing every shot on the ADS person.

ADS with assault rifle (or god forbid an LMG) will get you rocked in no time while the other person dodges shots. An SMG you'll at least be able to strafe fairly quick while ADS, but you're going to have trouble hitting your shots from mid-long range.

So basically, every gun loses to the wingman except the wingman in mid-long range encounters. Bad design. Not sure how to fix that, but it should be fixed, because it leads to having to always pick up the wingman in case you get in a fight with a wingman.

@IAbbadonII Abusing the gun? How is it abuse to run the gun as normal? Same as over half the game always running a r99. If any gun at all needs removed its Havoc. Wingman has to be very percise and accurate to land shots.

While you have a real problematic gun like the Havoc that will very accurate shots can down 3 people 1 in mag. Wingman is fine p2020 is garbage mozem only holds 3 rounds so useless unless on a drop or just feel like clapping with it randomly. Wingman is the only pistol in the game remotely worth using at the moment. Remove it then remove all other pistols cause they are hardly used be just waste of ground space. You give no logical reasons why it should be removed other then you keep dieing to it. The damage is fine where it is as if they put in a 50 cal revolver into the game imagine it doing what a PK can. No matter what is done or changed everyone still will complain because they cant improve their game play against these type of weapons.

why everybody complaining about guns XD they are more or less balanced.
wingman is good but have 5-8 bullets and if u miss u dead XD

@E9ine_AC There's nothing wrong with the gun itself, it's just the fact that it doesn't work in this certain game-it has no effective counterplay strategy. As long as you have the basic ability to put the dot on your enemy's center mass, they'll die no matter how hard they try bob and weave. People use the weak excuse of "it's a skilled gun, just get good" to try and cover for it, but all the complaints boil down to the fact that it can put out raw damage at little to no cost, (aside from mag size), and with all the movement and cover abilities this game has crammed in it, it's incredibly easy to just reposition and reload. As long as your opponent using the wingman has half decent aim, you will die. The gun itself works in Titanfall, with the hugely different movement system, and maps filled with longer sightlines, but in Apex it just ends up leaving people feeling cheated after being three tap killed in a close quarters fight.

@Katie_Huntress hehe r99 mag will drop someome faster that logic is already flawed. Sure 3 bullets but half a mag of 99 will do same thing if aiming right. All guns have their strong points and weak points.

@E9ine_AC That's true, but the r99 recoil is arguably harder to track with. You do have a point about strengths and weaknesses though. I just think the wingman could be nerfed a bit, either in damage or in rarity because it's so easy to grab and take out an entire team off-drop, while on the other hand the r99 needs a multitude of attachments to be at all viable.

@Katie_Huntress Huge Difference between the R99 and Wingman, wingman requires skills and good tracking . Just git good or learn how to strafe better.
