STOP NERF HORIZON

I immediately apologize for my English, as it is not my native language, i hope some inaccuracies in this post will not affect the general view of the situation.

Thank you for understanding.

The Horizon changes introduced in the Season 9 patch note will result in a complete drop in the legend's pickrate. At the moment, her tactical ability is unique, it completely changes the gameplay for this legend compared to the others, but after a couple of days, it will become a complete alternative to abilities octane and pathfinder. After the patch, this "tactical" ability will become practically useless both in battle and when taking a HG.

The use of this ability will become possible to a maximum of 1 time per battle, due to the increased cool down time. And with the new movement speed, it WILL NOT HELP ANYTHING IN BATTLE AT ALL.

This will make this legend not only quite secondary in relation to others with a similar ability, but also make it completely useless due to a very weak ultimate.

This is the only one of the new legends that came out really strong, and even earned a fairly high pickrate from professional players. And YOU will turn her into an absolutely useless character with zero pickrate. As a player who has played 450 hours of your game, of which 440 were played for Horizon, this step completely discourages me from entering the game after the start of season 9.

There are 3 types of game balance that developers adhere to:

1. Balance based on feedback from professional players.

2. Balance based on feedback from average players.

3. Balance based on feedback from low-level players.

1 and 3 are very bad and I'm sorry that you are sticking to type 3.

This situation is completely similar to the situation with Wraith and Caustic.

So that Horizon does not become completely secondary, I offer 3 solutions, I hope you listen to the opinion of the average player.

-Leave it as it is in Season 8. (the best way)

-Strong improvement in ultimate ability.

-Cooldown the Gravity Lift as it is from Season 9 for 10 seconds.

(The gravity lift in the form of season 9 is not only useless, but also has such a huge recharge time that it is not possible to use it in battle at all. But if such a stripped-down lift had at least a small Cool down, then it would already be more or less playable.)

I hope that you will reconsider your position on Horizon. I think you will agree with me that if the player cannot kill the legend, this is not a problem with the legend. (hello nerf Wraith and Octane).

Hope for the developer's answer from Respawn.

Thanks for your time.

GLHF legends.

My opinion has not changed, with this cd and slow speed the lift is much less useful. But I would not say that such a debuff greatly interferes with making frags. The decrease in speed is felt strongly, but the fact that you can be on the top for only 2 seconds did not hurt me, because I very rarely used it.

  • @Nordim welcome to the squad of pain she is being treated like prime wraith and pathfinder good old times ...
  • @Nordim

First of all, you haven't played it yet. Secondly, the gameplay pattern of every Horizon I come across is to start a fight, if losing press q, activate shield battery, strafe dance midair with normal speed, fire from up there with no increased spread or toss ult and grenades.

If you believe there is nothing wrong with that gameplay pattern and see no issue with a character having such easy and long-lasting access to verticality in a shooting game then that's just not objective thinking. Also trying to paint people who believe Horizon should get nerfed as unskilled, is a poor argument, if you start a conversation believe people who oppose your points are just dumb you're never gonna take anything other than your own point of view into consideration which is, not a well-rounded thought process. I'm in the camp of buffing others rather than nerfing the strong ones, however, Respawn has stated several times that they want reduced importance on the abilities of the legends.

I can literally argue that caustic gas should instantly kill you and then say only low skill players would get hit by the gas, or pathfinder should just be spiderman basically, obviously any good player can shoot him out of the sky easily duh 😛 /s.

  • @Nordim i have had 2 matches with horizon, so i really dont use her much

personally i never had a huge issue with horizon but she was statistically the best character in the game, maybe they have over nerfed her but when they do that they usually do buff characters they have over nerfed, also your english is not close to low level so no need to apologise for that

i do think some of her nerfs were justified but not all of them, time will tell
  • @Nordim Her tactical is pretty much Valk Jetpack now but worst.
They killed your legend fo sure fo sure.
Fo sure your gonna be like old Loba lmao
    Without the tactical 😂😂
  • Let me just copy some youtube comments i find very true and funny about her new tactical. :D

"Oh no, did that hurt darling?" 😃

"So she's actually going to be a balanced character? The horror."

"she has the ability to reposition her whole team vertically every 20 seconds. That alone is crazy powerful, along side her Ult which is obnoxious to fight at close to mid range, especially in tight spaces or if you’re holding a building. "

And this one is pure gold:
"No she's balanced now lol. She was OP as * and everyone that used her, relied on a crutch to get kills. Now watch all the horizon mains realize that they aren't actually good and they don't have any skill lmfaoo. Like a wise man once said "I thought I was getting a lot better, but then I realized that I just switched to Horizon"

I can post some more of the people that were having a hard time against her, but they are a bit offensive. :D

But pretty much she get what she deserved. Is it a bit too much ? Hell no! She is still super strong, just not OP/Broken as before, and people should realize how to play to her strengths.

Her tactical have absolutely all and was broken as hell. Her passive was strong, and her ultimate was a no skill squad nade kill.

If i was doing the nerf i would her remove the healing during the lift, cause that is totally unfair, would reduce the lift strafing speed, and add accuracy penalty.

So Horizon main should be 100% happy that they left you the healing part on her lift ....
According to Albralelie, who quite often loves to exaggerate stuffs, he said he she is still pretty good.
