The Spitfire needs a nerf
It's pretty embarrassing the fact that every low skill player rocks it... It's so stupid the fact that has 55 rounds. Its too broken. You can one clip a full squad and have a few bullets left. I thin...
I pick this gun up anytime i can and i can tell you IT IS BROKEN. It has very little recoil from across the map and it is WAY too easy to use. I am absolutely destroying people in high plat lobbies. You never have to reload and if someone is caught in the open, they are dead. I just got sniped with it when i had a sentinel early game. an lmg should not out snipe a sentinel like that. Nerf this damn gun already
i have been having the same problem, they need to heavily reduce it's range and damage. the spitfire is a "bottomless clip" weapon and if that is so then make it that without a insane amount of damage and range.
Exactly, the problem with the spitfire is the combined force of the HUGE magazines together with the damage per bullet hit. People use this weapon whether they have skill or not, hip firing the hell out of that thing and down multiple enemies. And then you have a Rampart running around with it getting even MORE bullets into the already HUGE magazines.
Devs: Either lower the amount of rounds per mag or lower the damage per bullet hit on it.
@Rageborns_Fury I like the idea of different weapons having different strengths/playstyle so I hope they leave the mag alone or even revert it back to what it used to be. The damage should be decreased or maybe make the hipfire ridiculously random to balance it.
I see the Spitfire as a midrange gun that's decent at close/long range. A weapon that should lose straight up trades unless your opponent has to reload.
The DPS is lower than other guns but I don't know if its low enough to compensate for how easy it is.
The spitfire needs a nerf either to its mag size, damage, or needs an extreme increase in recoil. The spitfire can destroy a purple knockdown sheild (750 hp) and kill the player knocked down on the ground at the same time. That’s a total of 850 hp in less than a purple mag. I say if you are going to decrease the mag size, make it 45 max and make it 55 for Rampart.
@iAurora_VisioniThe damage and ammo capacity needs to be reduced. With the 19 damage and having 55 bullets does about 1,045 damage. If damage goes back to the 18 with 55 bullets that's 990 damage still doing quite some. Reducing the ammo capacity a bit as well with damage would solve it.
