so not to start another thread, Wattson is great for duels and gun fights but her abilities are lackluster. Her ult is super situational, Her fences are very situational and takes way too long to cast and way too visible. Her new passive as I said is useless because you wanna have full shields as fast as you can, she needs to pop cells/bats faster.
He Fences needs shorter animation, lower CD and faster cast.
I don't know about coding of projectiles but I feel like Her Ult shouldn't block Nades tossed by allies, it even blocks Ally Horizon's tactical. So they can't really go together. She needs to be looked for Season 9. She is a great character and one of the strongest legends when comes to duel n gun fights but abilities could use these suggested tweaks in this thread.
I have to disagree with you on 2 points, the only reason wattson is situational is because of "your" playing style (assuming it's wkeying people), with wattson you have to make it your situational advantage regardless of circumstances. She's a defender, and a good one if played properly by the user and teammates. Positioning is everything with her, if you can bait a push with a good set up( eventually the vision during games improves ) and you can focus people easily.
The other point is mostly about setting up fences to slowly, I disgree, you can set her up in 5 seconds and If you have more time you can create a fortress, I've seen so many wattson's placing fences then cancelling then resetting it because it wasn't perfect, that's a huge waste of time when getting pushed.
Basically I'm saying its user error in this case,

ye i had a few games as rampart together with wattson and horizon.
get the highground, set up, and there is nothing they can to honestly.
i think the TO is also right about the problems within the map kings canyon.
i play pretty much defensive legends only, but kings kanyon is the worst, just the worst for them to get any advantage.
olympus is way different.
lots of good spots to get up wattson fences that can not be destroyed that easily. it honestly also comes down to the different architecture on this map.
I agree, Kings Canyon is very difficult to set up with defensive characters, nothing wrong with that in my opinion, it's more of a meta thing, different maps should require different legend metas to keep the game interesting.
In ranked if you play only 1 character, that shows you can't adapt to the different play styles of different maps.
Again this is my opinion on the matter and I totally agree that it is much more difficult on KC for defensive characters
if it was just user error we would have seen more Wattson but we are not seeing. Compare her Fence which requires to cast twice to link a fence with Caustic and anyone that can cast an ability during a gun fight. Can you cast a fence during a fight?
If we are gonna talk about team comp, then we need to have a Path/BH/Crypto, to define zone and camp. Then you can do it with any legends, you don't need Wattson. Rogue was maining Wattson and he stopped, we saw Nefan playing Wattson in ALGS and it was mostly was the case of her dueling capability.
I get what you mean and I agree but you can't deny Wattson being lackluster when comes to her abilities, it is not my words, even statistics showing it and Respawn knows it and they talked about it. Remember we want tweaks, we don't want straight buffs. She doesn't really need any straight buffs but she def could use some tweaks.
I see where you're going and I agree, a slight tweak could help her out, my thought would be mostly towards crypto , his emp should disable instead of destroy fence and gen, 10seconds after emp everything back to normal.
Maybe something like that ?
