Calm down, game is out in pre-season for a month now.
Season 1 starts soon and will last till June, and futher balance changed are announced during it.
This balance change objective is not balancing, it's to learn.
Look at Mirage, at start he was one of the top legends to pick but as time goes by and people get used to bamboozling he is losing favour.
I commend Respawn for the aproach to balancing, unlike recent trend where dev's release a patch that flips whole game around pushing it in different problems.

id rather see small weapon tweaks at least every two weeks if necassary. Then not touching Mozambique because the memes are funny is ridiculous.
also streamers are slowing because they aren’t being paid by EA anymore. I still like the game but it’s gettin pretty repetitive and wingman pk nerfs took forever.

Mirage was hot before everyone found out how incredibly bad the hitboxes really were. When everyone found out that they didn't only screw up weapon balance but also hardcore screwed up character balance, everyone ran Wraith/Lifeline/Bloodhound (Wraith was already used a ton anyway because edgy teenagers need their girl character).
The fact Wingman wasn't gutted 3 weeks ago let alone now shows they aren't in touch with reality. This game's going to get Realm Royale's treatment due to a horrible balancing team.
The devs have made it clear that they tend to bring/keep weapon tiers in game...meening the peacekeeper will always be a better choice than say a mozu. Or the wingman a better choice than the p2020 lol...everyones desire for weapon balance is all fine n dandy...but thats what you have to keep in mind...they dont want every weapon to be a viable late game option. Thats where the attachments come into play. I think the mozu has only 2 attachments for it..where pretty much wvery other weapon has 3 or 4. If they made say..the skull piercing hopup avaliable for the mozu...it may be a more threatening weapon early-midgame. I think they should take a hard look at their attachment trees and make appropriate changes there first before nerfing/boosting weapons.
The more complex route would be looking at the actual legends and tweak their abilities(bang should engage speed ability if using a zipline for example). Abilities that have very little use over the course of the game. Pathfinder needs an on map item for his ability..which 3-4times i dont see on the map..so they needs to spead out a bit more..or more needs to be placed down at game start. 12 is nothing compared to the size of the map....
How is that huge ROF and small damage nerf not a nerf "at all". Changes seem good to me.
Peacekeeper could probably use more damage fall-off at range and maybe nerf wingman mag size to 6-7-8-9 instead of the bizarre 6-8-9-12, otherwise these changes seem spot on.

I am going to pre-suppose you are right about the power level, despite my real disagreements.
One, some weapons are intended to be better. Core design of the game.
Two, smaller changes are generally more reasonable changes. The game works on somewhat small margins oftentimes. Wingman, be no sane metric, was so OP it ruined the game or meant the other weapons were unusable. It had clear advantages, to be sure, but if you are going to argue that in dominates everything in every way, you are beyond reason and just try to to win points by being edgy.
Given that, smaller changes to refine the weapon design and move it into a better place are very reasonable. 17% DPS reduction is quite real, especially considering the weapon didnt have the highest DPS to begin with.
Now chill out and stop feebly trying to make people more competent than you feel bad. I am so happy they are making VERY SMALL changes. I've seen too many game companies over correct over and over and never get it right.
They need to nerf the damage of both weapons slightly. They're way off the mark with peacekeeper.. nerfing it's ROF wasn't the big issue, it was that it can 2 shot people and hit people from great distances.
Wingman needs an even slower ROF if that's the balancing route they're going to pursue.

Or are you one of those console players who has a hard time beating AI in shooters let alone aim at actual players? On PC, the Wingman is the be-all end-all weapon. Talking about DPS is just so incredibly dumb and shows you have literally no idea what this game is about. The DPS on the Kraber is trash. Does that make it a worthless weapon, or is it beneficial to have a weapon that can literally 1-shot someone who doesn't have both epic (or legendary) armor AND helmet? This is exactly what the Wingman does. Yes, it's not the biggest DPS. So if you're hitting a target dummy, you're better off with the R-99 or just pull out a Turbocharged Devotion and call it the most broken thing in the game.
But this isn't a PvE game. And this game shouldn't be balanced around people playing with a stupid controller. The problem of the Wingman is its damage. Simple as. Rate of fire honestly doesn't even come close to mattering when your opponent can just chip (or more like chop with its * damage) your health while running fast enough to instantly hide behind cover if you use a "DPS" weapon.
Feel free to keep playing devil's advocate though. Don't want your toy to get the significant nerf it deserves I assume. God forbid that 90% of the forum posts are correct in the fact that that piece of * has to be nerfed into the ground.
complain complain complain..if ya dont want to be destroyed by the wingman learn how to shoot. tired of games wanting to cater to the casual. now after the patch all you can find is those stupid energy weapons that just make for some lame and weird fights. everyone just holding down lmb and hipfiring..LAME..lower the damage fine but dont make it where only a few ppl can even find it in the match. that imo makes it even more of an overpowered weapon because now just a select few squads have one and everyone else is immediately at disadvantage assuming the wingman carrier is a halfway decent player
