“Anti-recoil controllers are NOT cheating.”
I’m a little upset that the some people are so complacent in this notion, which is actually supported by Respawn and EA.
For those of you who don’t know, the top 20% of players in the console world have a very serious problem in the form of Strikepack (anti-recoil controller) use. In some ways, anti-recoil controller mods are actually worse than PC hacking— because apparently these controllers are “not considered cheating” because they don’t manipulate the in-game files.
I have made several threads regarding my disdain for SBMM, but I have never posted about this very real problem for console players. In fact, an argument can be made that the aggressive SBMM and Strikepack use work in tandem to make life miserable for above average-skill players, but I guess that’s a discussion for another time.
What’s the consensus here on the forums? Should console players be allowed to purchase physical attachments that literally remove recoil on in-game weapons? Is it fair that some players have to exert energy to mitigate gun recoil while other players fire weapons with ease?
