1.1 Patch Notes

APEX LEGENDS 1.1 PATCH NOTES

QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Added the ability to party up with the last squad you played with. After the match you will see buttons in the lobby that display the last two people you played with and can invite them to your squad.

When you head back to the lobby after a match you will see two new buttons that show you the players in your last squad with the option to invite them for another match!

You can choose to allow invites or opt out in the Friends menu.

  • Additional behind-the-scenes improvements for squashing cheaters.

  • Added Mute button during the intro and Legend selection.

  • When using the Report Player button for PC, you now have the option of selecting Cheat or Other.

Made small improvements to the UI for customizing Legends.

Added option to turn off lighting on compatible hardware [for example, Razer Chroma devices] in the Mouse/Keyboard settings.

  • Added informative messages that appear on PC for crashes due to:

    • Running out of memory.

    • CPU errors best explained by overclocking/overheating.

  • Added better collision to the turrets on Supply Ships.

  • Stability fixes to all platforms.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed issue where the Battle Pass rewards page would not have a default item selected, resulting in a mostly blank page.

  • Fixed bug for PS4 and X1 where sometimes attempting to use a keyboard to chat could cause a fatal script error.

  • Fixed bug with Banner Cards not showing up during and at the end of a match.

JUMP PAD PHASE WALK INTERACTIONS

  • Octane’s Jump Pad no longer affects players when using Into the Void ability.

  • I love messing about with the badges so I like the changes to the badges UI.

The last squad feature is OK. But is an area that needs a lot more options. It's probably Origin that neeeds updating or replacing as it's friends system is awkward to use.

Again, the report feature for reporting abusive players is awkward because of Origin. I had to report a player almost immediately, yesterday. What happens is that you select from the in game report feature what you're reporting for, then it opens Origin and you report them on their Origin profile. It's a bit clunky and hard to do while in game.

  • This is all good imo.

Mute button, option to invite previous players and the stability fixes are the key points for me. I'm hoping the stability fix is in relation to the poor server performance of late. I'll give it a test later.

Fingers crossed and thanks for the info.

  • I have a 1050tti, everytime I change the gpu to low or medium in game sometimes I lose sound for 10 15 sec … if I select gpu to none still happens but not that often …

Hopefully next on the chopping block is audio fixes.
  • Well, after playing last night, my first game felt amazing. Zero lag or frame rate issues. It felt smooth exactly as it was at launch.. The following 4-6 games were no so good.

One instance of unloading 3 shots from Ev8 shotty into an enemy 10ft or less away, and got zero damage and was then dropped in super quick time, as I strafed and watched the gunfire pass by me.

Please get the servers and stability sorted out. When it runs well, this game is fantastic, but more games than not are a tad frustrating with either the hit registration, or server lag. I don't know what it is specifically but something is not right.

Agreed, origin has a lot of catching up to do. And reporting a player should be possible from within Apex Legends itself, breaking out into a clunky GUI is just too much to do within a game. Also inviting people over to voice chat and to friends should be made extremely simple, so people can build friendships in the game, just like they can on Xbox, where this is super streamlined. I pick up my keyboard, press the windows key, left, 3x down, enter, and enter their nickname, and i immediately have the ability to invite them to join my squad, join my voice chat, and add them to friends or a private club. The GUI is super responsive and made for quick access. Origin simply does not stack up, and therefore this feature should be provided by Apex itself, by calling out to Origin, but providing a GUI that's integrated into Apex.
