I seriously can't get a win this season. I think I have finished in 2nd place about 12 times now. The combination of the ring and having players drop out at the start of a match is making it hard
What Legend do you play as and on which platform? Maybe some others here can jump in to get you wedded with a win.

I've had a fair few wins recently but also missed out on a few and more often than not it's down to being 3rd partied.
It seems that whenever you see 3 squads left you are best placed not to engage as the moment you do, whether you come out on top or not of the first battle, the last team will be hot on your tail. Not saying there's anything wrong with that mind just what seems to happen A LOT.
@aisthebestletter I have to point out that the meta is 'play very safe' in top 10 this season- rather similar to apex tournament play. So if you're grinding to top 2, then someone is just waiting for you to get into a fight- there's never an exciting third-party your final fights then they jump in for the win, sometimes taking just you or your teammate out. It's cowardly disguised as strategic; and a real possibility. And right or result in a third party. Sorry to say but it's a couple shots, stolen kills, now stolen points and credit. So right now Apex is following that sorta common BR theme at this point, separating it into top 20 being relatively action packed until top 10.
So unless we do receive minor tweaks to third partying; such as gun volume discussed on the forum or footstep volumes that has been addressed- or think of other ideas; it will continue to be a thing. But with how diverse the map has become, hopefully there's a common ground somewhere.
It is not about being more selfish but more about choosing the right time to make your moves.
I understand teammates who want to be respawned as quick as possible but if this is the case they must be extra careful not to be downed.

Being selfish leads always to having a hard time and bad games!
Victories come if you play the game how it is supposed to be played: stick with the team, share anything with each other and use ALWAYS the ping system.
I do not mention to make some friends to play with because, personal experience, you can have such a good games also with randoms but you must be ready to play for others and not only for yourself!
I do have now like 28 wins, get a R99 + a P2020 with a hop up in to ur hands and destroy everyone :D
R99 is still broken if u connect all shots that "alternator" meta guys die like flies :P
Based on the in game xp rewards top 10 is a "win" so being second place thru Apex legends optics: you're winning. I'll go ahead and agree with them so in my eyes you're good too 👍. Keep it up. You're better than 3rd and below.
