New map is sick
@DeFy_Danga It must have taken a bit of time and effort to design the old map so do you really think they'll throw it away? If they give us both maps at the same time most players would refuse to try the new one since it feels different.
If not for the immaturity of the community they might have left both available from the start. It'll come back so no need to push it.
New map has several 'impenetrable crow's nests' where the only actual access points are on ziplines where your movement is highly predictable and the enemy has an easy advantage. Also its ugly
I dont have any issue with a pick of the two maps but I would pick the new one every time. Much greater variety in locations.
- @zombieslayrdiox Like where? The only spot I can think of is epicenter and all you have to do to get ppl down is toss some grenades in it or wait them out.
As far as I can see, there are zero reasons for not the community play on both maps. Would love to hear developers' reason as to why they think it's good idea to withhold King's Canyon from rotation.
So their reasoning is that people will disconnect in the lobby until they land on the map they want. I didn't realise that was a thing people did in online games but I guess if they're seeing the figures for it, fair enough.
They are bringing back the first map in March, but from what I understand, it's then removing the second map. They seem adamant to not only have 1 map active at a time, but also that that 1 active map is the only active map for sodding MONTHS at a time.
To me, that's not fun. That's boring. Especially for new players. If you're really worried about players disconnecting when there's a map they don't like, then just rotate the maps out every couple of days. Don't take away such a huge aspect of the game (Literally like 50% of the content if you think about it) and then leave it cut for entire seasons. It's insane.
