Yep that sure suck man.
First of all i'am also an expat in Korea, just in case.
Have you tried the Anthem Demo ? It was god-awfull in terms of performance, which we all knew by now, but far worse when it came to the servs.
It was litterally unplayable, i'am talking about suddenly being unable to control my javelin movements be it the direction or the camera, because the serv couldn't connect with me which in turn didn't register any input, therefore leading to this weird behaviour, or even rollbacks, inputs not registering properly, skills launching with 4/5s of delay and so on. Typical serv issues you can see in most multy games those day when you get a ridiculously high ping.
So, whats my point ?
Very simple: i'ld bet my * they had 0 servs in Asia for the demo and i'ld bet my * again that they won't bother to setup a serv architecture for the release. Therefore there is a lot of chance that this is not a coincidence, Apex Legends probably won't launch in Asia.
I still say "probably", because while i'am sure there is no servs in Asia, or at least in korea, for anthem, they still sell the game on the Korean store. I doubt this is some kind of error, if it's one they'll be in big troubles selling a product consumer won't be able to enjoy in a decent state, if it's not it's either one of EA's infamous shady moves or that means they will put up servs in asia for players to be able to enjoy the game.
Now, do keep in mind that once i arrived in korea a few months ago, the first thing i noticed was the dead servs and overall abscence of dedicated servs in the region when it wasn't just an absurdly high ping, and it seems like it has been an ongoing topic for years now (i'am talking about BF3 topics on the matter type of old) in the Asian community for EA games.
Brace yourselves, because the most likely outcome is that they'll sell Anthem in asia with no servs and Apex won't launch here.
