You need to wake up tho. AA enables poor players to achieve good results quickly, and developers abuse this to sell their games. End of story.
"AA enables poor players to achieve good results quickly, and developers abuse this to sell their games."
Are we talking about all aa, or just pc players using controllers to access it? If you're talking about aa across the board, including on consoles, then what will the shooter landscape look like if aa suddenly was pulled from this game? From all shooters? From just new and upcoming shooters? I'm not begging an answer here, I'm just trying to imagine whether or not our addiction to aim assist is beyond repair or not.

@reconzeroWell that guy had a good point with “AA enables poor players to achieve good results quickly, and developers abuse this to sell their games. End of story“
That’s why it got created in the first place in the beginning and I mean all the way back in the beginning to singleplayer shooters etc.
But time changed, skill ceiling increased drastically over the last 20 years, it’s time to reevaluate the possibilities, I’ve seen enough incredible controllerplayers without aimassist performing on top lvl that you would never guess it’s without aa.
Aa exists now mainly for the casuals, if just apex removes aa then they might Tank some players, but also will get some back that left because of the state of aa and mnk.if aa gets removed from every shooter we probably wouldn’t even lose players we would probably lose some controller pro‘s but that’s about it I guess
The industry needs to shift, I’m glad valorant csgo etc are not screwing around with aa because the truth is the next step on that ladder would be that mnk gets aimassist to compete vs controller aimassistwhat I mean by that is, if you give mnk now it 0.2-3 aa it would probably even out and be actually fair, but do we really wanna go there ? I personally don’t… what could come after ? Maybe we give higher aimassist to people with sicknesses or older age ? Cool I am 35 my reflexes went down over the last 10 years or so, I still hit master in apex relatively easy especially with controller but with mnk the reactiontime starts to impact my trackigncappability. And I used to be a high tier cs player so I would argue my reactiontime is still very good but definetly not what it was when I was 20 🙂

Well said. I guess I'm torn on the issue because removing aa will only widen the skill gap. And that would be okay if guns weren't already crippled with aim-fighting mechanics. Or if sbmm worked. Ever. But it doesn't. There's definitely an intellectual appeal to a truly level playing field, but that would, for me, rely on segregated lobbies. It would be hard enough to re-learn how to shoot against console players I knew were on an equal footing, but pc players have advantages controller players don't, or so I'm led to believe. And that would make the re-learn entirely not worth the trouble. Hence why we have the platform aa gap to begin with?
I think what this all boils down to is something you hit on perfectly: "Aa exists now mainly for the casuals...." I'm skeptical though about "if apex removes aa then they might Tank some players, but also will get some back that left." I'm not sure what percentage of the player base identifies as casual and what percentage as seriously competitive, but I would guess the game would lose far more players than it would gain back. Call me old and lazy, and you wouldn't be wrong on either count, but I doubt I'd stick around for that kind of grind.- ComicBookGuy27272 years agoSeasoned Ace
I'm a roller player, and I can hold my own against other rollers (that aren't using strike packs or other cheat devices)... but against MnK, I get decimated by the lowest of levels instantly.
Please will someone tell me where/how I can get my AA assist to destroy everyone with ease all while I do nothing but let the controller track for me?
Please anyone? Please?
Please?

Imagine the skill level of an average CS player against someone who hasnt played the game before.
Apex has been out for long enough that even average player has so good basic gameknowledge & skills that its really hard for any new player to join in.Orientation matches doesnt work as there are leaks in that system. My son wanted to try Apex on his Xbox and had a some supersweat (not even smurf but +500lvl with big stats on trackers)octane as his teammate. In short the Octane dropped 30 bomb win and my son didnt shoot the gun once. And now he is supposed to be ready for the PvP.
PvE should not be limited to that win. Lets say you take couple of seasons off so getting back into to the current meta or want to try some off meta guns for funs in real game enviroment PvE would be best.
- 2 years ago@reconzero Heh, man, you see? You go off into some word rant about what exactly? You said stuff without saying stuff.
Look, if a company can use aa to make the game or guns "feel good" then you have a banger on your hands. This game, the more I think of it, was made to make new players succeed and older players fail more. New players succeed and spend. Later on they find out what's what. I do not care for whatever you play on or whatever you decide to use, just stay away from me if we do not have the same 🙂 Or at least give me the choice do opt out 🙂- reconzero2 years agoSeasoned Ace@px8zron0u5yi

Got it. Smaller words, shorter sentences.- 2 years ago@reconzero Yup, like you know, normal people talk. Touché.
What's funny is while I won't ponder deep thought gaming like you, I will leave you pondering things just by playing the game normally against players like you. It's fun. Then I will go about my day. We're all cheaters apparently. 🙂 Much love and hope you have a good one.
