Comms

Communication is such a vital part of life nowadays that even games have a dedicated person or team handling social network mediums to communicate with and to fans and the press alike.

With that said, the precedence that apex has said is still so low compared to other games that I find it funny how they consistently put the bar so low. Instead of updates of important info on their twitter, they opt for glam instead.

With the new season almost starting, it’s perhaps to be expected to see a post about it. But looking through a few tweets you see a recurring question (not talking SBMM or ‘will KC be in map rotation’), “Why was the season shortened”. It seems there was never an update on that subject except for that one dev’s reddit post (unless official Apex reddit also did it). Neither was there an official RD for when, how long and the terms of double exp.

I myself dont actually care. I’ll grind it out with or without the double exp. But Coming to expect info seems to be what ppl need nowadays and we’ve seen how randomly pissed ppl can become from the littlest of things. So I wonder why Respawn/Apex communications is constantly being such important stuff. If they posted it on reddit already, why not a small post on twitter and/or these forums so ppl know the deal. This not only pertains to the double exp but the whole of getting info.

I was getting the impression that they were getting better from releasing patch notes on the day of release or one day after a new update to actually a day beforehand (which is how it is supposed to be tho xD). But with these things my confidence is wavering again.

What is your take on it all?

[EDIT] This is the link where a dev acknowledges the communication... or lack of it... but despite this has been said by 1 dev (who’s a trooper for speaking out), no formal acknowledgement yet... almost 5 days later XD https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/ilxik7/comment/g9nzq8j?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

  • Its taken them nearly 7 seasons to even acknowledge their audio sucks and y'all are complaining about a lack of communication.

At this point I think its safe to say people have an unrealistic set of expectations when it comes to the apex development team lol.

Expect nothing and you'll rarely be dissapointed. 😛

@MandatoryIDtag Oh no, I’m just mentioning it as I kinda knew it would happen and just pointing out what I initially said 😜
