Serious question, and I would love a real world, non pandering answer from Respawn.What will it take to get these server issues resolved?And I mean resolved.Sky’s the limit wish list of of fixes to get this game into a stable spot where it can just chug along.What needs to happen?Help me to understand why, why should I continue to support this game with my limited dollar?Thank you

@PartyWurm I honestly feel like I would get more information by sending a message over to Unity for their Multiplay services, it's the servers that Apex Legends uses with some Google stuff.https://unity.com/products/multiplayEven has a picture of Apex Legends in the background for marketing purposes lolWith Respawn choosing an outsourced service for the servers in Apex Legends, I'm not too sure how much knowledge the team of Respawn knows and/ or understands about networking.I'm totally assuming, but I think that's why most updates have server issues. Respawn doesn't have personal control over the servers and must coordinate the process or something and work back and forth with the Unity team.Why else would a multi billion dollar title keep having the same issues on every update? I can't rule it out that just bad programming, but always in the networking side of things seems odd enough. It's way too common in my opinion.

@PartyWurmMy prediction: Apex won’t ever utilize servers that are substantially better than what we have. Despite this, people (kids mainly) will continue to pump money into Apex because they aren’t terribly aware of the relationship between (spending money) and (having issues resolved by purposefully not spending said money).I really can’t stress this enough: if EVERYONE MAGICALLY stopped spending money right now and demanded better servers, we would have better servers.But EA is betting on that not happening.

@Redmattgame Servers would probably handle a higher tickrate much better than the infrastructure and most of the client devices.Let's say they raise the server snapshot (or update) rate from 20hz to 60hz. This translates to 3 times more data to be processed per second, but also requiring a 3 times bigger bandwidth. The first one means more stress on the servers but also on the client devices, causing more framerate / performance instability. The second one means a more unstable connection, with a lot of lag spikes and higher chances of packet loss. In short, more crashes, freezes, disconnections and lag. Sure, those who are lucky to own high end gaming pcs won't be that much affected, but the vast majority of the players are still on previous generation consoles or on average / lower end pcs / devices.I'm not playing the blame game, but trying to give people the full picture of the problem. And, contrary to the popular belief around here, it's in the best interest of everyone for the game to run as smooth as possible. That would be the most profitable for EA, Respawn, Multiplay and for everyone else who invested in this game.

During the continuous server issues in season 9 that impacted much of the season for me I thought there was light a the end of the tunnel & gullibly fell for the information given by several youtubers & pro-players regarding the whole EA's contract with Multiplay ending with their leasing of servers expiring in August.They claimed there was a good chance that EA maybe looking for an alternate company to lease from or even provide their own servers in time for the start of season 10.In reality though it turned out to be a load of garbage & the same servers issues that blighted much of season 9 continued over in season 10.The whole issue around Apex & server issues has always been a contentious one as pretty much all multiplayer shooters Apex (& their Multiplay servers) operate at the lowest tick rate (20hz) when compared to other games COD MW(22hz), Fortnite (30hz).PUBG (60hz) with the highest being Valorant (128hz).A game that operates at a low tick rate can experience unresponsiveness,high ping as well as delays in movement & reaction times & the feeling of lag thinking you've hit a clear target & it has seemingly missed or when you think you have avoided damage when in cover but continue to get hit.That's not to say games that operate at a high tick rate are trouble-free as graphical issues like screen-tearing or cropping can occur.As Popa2caps rightly suggests about the regularity of issues & problems with the servers with pretty much every update & event is it meerly a coincidence or something else more problematic & inevitable.

@Redmattgame This is all down to respawn and ea. Other games work fine and the problems with apex were apparent long before half of those excuses.

@Gabrielmojo26 I'm actually less biased than a typical player, because I have experience from both sides.

By comparison, most games are like street cars, while Apex is more like a racecar. It breaks more often and needs more attention, but when it works well, it leaves its competition in the dust. Anthem and Cyberpunk are more like racecar prototypes that went through major failures on their initial runs.

Server issues have been plaguing this game from season 0. Little has been updated or patched to create a stable environment for online play. We were told the code wheel, shoe, net etc were being used in season 2,3 & 4 to track issues to get resolution. My first game in the last week resulted in my legend freezing on screen and a code cloud just now. It took 3 attempts to log back in and by the time I did I was out of game with an abandon penalty. During this time of unloading apex I checked my internet and it was totally in spec for where it should be.

I feel the biggest frustration has been the forums moderators and game developers stance of it is your internet not our servers. Going back to seasons 2-4 with the code tracking names the connections have not been better. It is now season 10 and I see no hope for this game. Every time I come back for a bit and put up with the lag because I do enjoy playing the game. But here we are. A blurb on top of the forum about issues. Why isnt that on the game page????
I used to bounce to my pc when this was happening on the PS4, but after watching it be the same regardless of platforms enough is enough. After the hack earlier this year you think heads would have been removed from butts about stable and secure servers. Alas not so much. To all of you still playing “good luck, have fun & dont lag.”

It's interesting how just not long ago, someone attacked the servers to make a statement about the lack of action to fix servers in Titanfall, and we see the same lack of action even now. Honestly, I would be embarrassed to be a CEO of a company as big as EA, and this * plaguing my product. EA is worth tens of billions of dollars, and can't seem to figure out how to fix this? How can a company possibly let one of, if not its biggest money maker be anything less than perfect. I would be throwing every dollar at this. If you think Apex has made you money now EA, just imagine if it actually worked right!!!!!!
