Devs!? What is it going to take?

Pinging to a server in london only 100 miles away and im getting 150ms............

I dont understand how some people can even defend this shoddy approach to patches, this isnt some little indie dev, this is respawn backed by EA`s financial clout, its beyond pathetic now.

This is typical corperate greed at work, they are happy to take your money but wont reinvest to make the game a better experience, respawn are choosing to ignore the server issues becuase they wont spend to fix them, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.

*EDIT* FOUR effing abandon penelties now in ranked because of thier broken servers........ what an absolute joke of a company!!!!!!!

@Gabrielmojo26The means to upgrade what, the internet? You can have trillions of $, you would still need many years to make it happen, without even considering technological limitations or geopolitical issues.

"Most if not all games, kept with the demand" is a highly false statement. There is no game without bugs, all those with online components have issues when the network doesn't behave properly. As games become more and more complex, there will be more and more issues when they go live. Anthem, Cyberpunk 2077 are just the the beginning.

But all the issues you suggested from raising the tick-rate from 20hz-60hz like framerate/performance instability,unstable connections,lag spikes,freezes,crashes, Disconnections etc has been happening to many of us for a few seasons already (& sometimes some us have suffered for weeks) & that's with the 20hz servers they already use.I'm not a PC owner so I'd like to think I'm not affected by the high CPU usage scenario but I am a PS5,PS4 & Xbox One & the game can play like dogwater on all of them.

This isn't a question to try & catch you out or anything but as a curious person merely trying to pick your brain with your extensive knowledge, do you believe that Apex has surpassed in size,limitations  & capability of the last gen consoles (PS4 & Xbox One) in a holding the game back scenario (it looks like you touched upon it in your comment) & what do you believe is holding the game back regarding a next gen upgrade (PS5,Xbox X/S)) considering it is one of the last multiplayers to get one with nothing in the pipeline?

They will be releasing a new game, so they drop Apex on instant, because they now have a better money maker game. Of course they won't say it, try to explain this with "servers problems", but no, they want to kill this game as fast as possible for the new bright future.
