Different language for sound and subtitles

Hello, friends.

Lately i was thinking about changing the legend's voice-lines language, since i don't really like how it's sounds on my native language. I know, that it is quite easy to do, and all i have to do is just to change the language settings in Origin Client, but i've got a question:

I really want to leave subtitles on my native language, to be able to understand, what voice-line on foreign language means, but when i re-download language pack i got myself a subtitles on the same language as voice-lines, and that make sense.

I discovered that subtitles files are stored in Apex\paks\Win64 folder and have understandable names such as subtitles_language.rpak. At the moment, in this folder i have a few rpaks with a different languages, so i came up with an idea, that i can just swap names between the .rpak of my native language subtitles and the .rpak with new language subtitle, so the game will extract the lines from the file i need.

So the question is, can this cause a ban from EAC? Kinnda weird question, i understand, but since i dont really know, how EAC deal with game files, i cant be sure.

Will appreciate any constructive answers. Peace.

  • Good question, I heard about the subtitle issue a while back, suppose this was fixed already. I'm not sure if changing the subtitles will trigger EAC to flag an account for investigation.

If it does, I highly doubt anyone would receive anything like a temp bann for a subs fix for their client. Regardless tho it's a good choice to wait untill @EA_Blueberry or someone else from EA can give an answer.

It might be possible to contact EAC about it also, i'm not sure where to find contact info tho.
