I wish they would get rid of this garbage system altogether. I shouldn't have to waste my time throwing games in order to get into a lobby of my trash skill level.

2 years on, countless 0 kill games, my aim is utter trash no matter what, and yet it STILL can't figure out that I can't take on preds. What a joke.

    My recommendation is that you intentionally lose a multitude of matches. This sucks, but at least it’s a guaranteed method for getting more manageable lobbies.

    Of course, once you have a decent match you will be thrust up the matchmaking ladder— THIS is the issue.

    The issue is that traversing the matchmaking doesn’t have equal mobility in either direction. Winning one game shoots you up, but losing one game isn’t enough to send you down.

    So for every decent game you have, you’ll have to intentionally follow that with a string of bad games. Lower data accounts have to lose about 5-10 consecutive matches. Higher data accounts have to lose between 20-30 matches.

      @Axs5626Sxa5001 I get what you are trying to say. But it's still dumb. It is a waste of time and for what? Just to have 1 decent match and right after that, you are in pred lobbies again.

      I do not want to spend most of my time throwing matches.

      @Axs5626Sxa5001 I queued with friends tonight. As usual at the start of the season the matches are nothing but fancy trailed sweats.

        Yikes. I haven’t had the chance to queue with friends yet. Is it like that start to S13? That was literally the most aggressive matchmaking I have ever seen in Apex.

        While I don’t think the algorithm has a hard rule on premades, premades are definitely 100% prioritized higher on the PBMM ladder.

        One thing I haven’t tested is intentionally losing matches in a premade. I ASSUME the there are already triple stack masters/Preds doing this, as it explains those outliers I see when testing. 3 preds in a mixed lobby might sound egregious but it’s not NEARLY egregious as 3 preds in a lobby comprised of very low level players— that’s just bullying.
