- @EA_David I see some finally-added QoL improvements such as not having to open inventory to pop ult accells. FINALLY. Also, a ‘mark all as seen’ instead of individually click on whatever legend or gun and go to skin, banner etc to let the game know ‘I’ve seen it’. Pinging nearest beacon is good for clutch ‘the ring is coming but I need my tm8’ moments or for when ppl don’t know the locals of the beacons, but I think for most it won’t be all that life-changing.
Also cooldown for tact Caustic! Yey! @hayhor you were right with having a barrier when in the ring. - @Koochi-Q I just hope that barrier no weapon thing is not permanently left in regular mode. I don't want to box end circle.

- @Koochi-Q I'm actually very scared it gets left that way. All other towntakeover areas have been left there. Cryptos map room and wraiths portal.

I like bug fix: the Mirage decoy make foot steps sound...it's gonna be good bambozle.
Currently when I use my ultimate, I better not move since enemy can spot the real one from my foot steps.

- sireladio5 years agoRising Adventurer@EA_David Patch changes to weapons just shows developers are out of touch with their own game and just dont get it.
The Hemlok’s damage will drop from 22 to 20. So pretty much the issue has been totally missed by developers who think base damage is the issue.
The issue is the 3x multiplier for head shots that currently lead to 66 damage. So with the change 60. Amazing so instead taking 198 for a 3 shot burst I will take 180 meaning 2 burst kill is still a thing with purple shield or even red if you get a full burst. Do the developers not thing something is wrong when a burst gun can kill you quicker than a headshot from a sniper? Like am I missing something when you are rewarded more for spamming a burst weapon than actually having to time your shots and distance with a sniper? Reduce the burst rate of fire. Lower the multiplier to 35 per headshot so it requires actual skill to kill some one not one lucky burst.
The Mastiff will also change a bit. The shotgun will gain more spread on the third and fourth pellet to reduce the max range?
So a gun that is pretty much a lottery weapon has now been made even less likely to consistent damage? Like are the dev team even reading the constantint complaints about the random numbers coming from shotguns.
Explain how the shotgun is hated due to its rng(i love shotguns but its a risk to take one as you never know if you will win or loose the lottery when you shoot and get 13 damage) and somehow the developers think " Hay you know what it needs more randomness". Really play your game developers.
A stock Prowler will come with 210 reserve bullets rather than 175.
Wow the only change that actually adds up and makes sense.
Please can some one from the development team actually start speaking and listening to players. As the changes here clearly show this isnt happening.
I have lost over 100 friends who use to play as they straight up refuse due to the state of the game.
If its not a third party its a cheater. If its not a cheater its a triple take. If its not a triple take its a hemlock. I love this game and have played since day 1 but this season killed any motivation for this game and it seems the hemi is still going to be an issue and shotgun random damage is going to be worse. Spending months working on stupid boxing ring was obviously more important than listening to the issues and actually fixing Thoughts:
-Multiple times Daniel Z Klien on Reddit has said they don't really get good data from LTMs as a way to influence the standard Apex modes, so I guess they're trying to solve that problem by making the LTM part of Standard Apex. Odd.
-Pathfinder Town Takeover, great, great, an area that's melee only, a super janky feature that doesn't function as well as it should is being advertised as a new event instead of, you know, making a new event. Guess they got tired of recycling old events, but couldn't be bothered to actually make a new one. It's a collection event too, so it's kind of obvious where the effort got put into.
-Gibralter Heirloom is nice.
-Loot MRVNs, oh boy another useless gimmick. Loot Ticks 2.0. How exciting. (/s)
-Rampart Buff doesn't solve her core issue, which is that every part of her kit is slow to deploy. Walls get destroyed immediately, set-up time for minigun is too long, spin-up time for minigun is too long, amped shield takes too long to deploy on top of the fact that walls can be insta-destroyed. Hayhor will be happy with the Caustic buff.
-Mastiff changes say to me, "We're spreading out the 3rd and 4th pellets to +/- (plus or minus) 10 (10 what is beyond me) off the center, to make 3-4 pellet hits on a target happen at a closer distance than before. AKA, Mastiff effective range got decreased." Respawn saw the countless threads of, "We're struggling to hit at close range with multiple pellets of the Mastiff" and went, "Struggle no more! Now you have to get even closer! Buy our 18 dollar skins!"
QoL Changes:
-Ulti-Accels and the "Mark All As Seen" are not things to praise Respawn for which is 100% due to their tardiness. 7 Seasons we've waited for those changes. 2 basic features which have been asked for since the game came out, happened 683+ DAYS LATER. These are basic QoL changes that should've shipped when the game was released, but just didn't, and we got to wait a whopping 683 DAYS for them to be released. I probably could've learned from scratch how to do that myself in the same time it took them to do this.
-So instead of allowing people to ping locations on the map normally even while dead, Respawn came up with this complicated system that measures time to use vs. ring location vs. closest / "safest" beacon. At this point I feel like if I asked Respawn to boil pasta, they'd somehow create an MSR (Molten Salt Reactor) a type of Nuclear Fission Reactor to boil the ocean to skip salting the water.
Bug Fixes:
-Mirage's DECOYS got footstep audio before ACTUAL PLAYERS. And people say he's the worst Legend. Ha!
- @sireladio Am I missing something? When I hit someone in the head with a hemlock bullet I get 39 damage, not 3x the body.
@hayhor Math is a little wrong, but the point is still valid. One Hemlok round to the head is 39 damage, for a whopping total of 117 damage should all 3 hit the head.
New Hemlok math is as follows:
20 Damage to body, multiplied by a 1.75x headshot modifier = 35 damage x 3 = 105 damage total should all 3 hit. AKA, not much difference. You have a much narrower window to down someone through headshots should you miss one or two rounds, but with how accurate the Hemlok is, it's really not a problem.
A much better nerf would be to knock Hemlok damage down to 15 per round, 45 per burst, and reduce headshot multiplier to 1.6. That brings Hemlok headshot burst from 117/105 down to 72, requiring someone to land 9 rounds perfectly on the head while not touching the accuracy, keeping the Hemlok as a very viable accurate mid-ranged AR.
