Help

Me and my friend can't give each other the new Loba trackers. It says we're friends on apex but it won't pop up our names when we search for each other.

The reason I ask, is if you're on Steam, (or on console), you might not be able to find each other if your user search setting in your EA Account for your platform is unchecked. (If your platform's username is the same as your EA Account's username, then you would still be searchable by your EA Account's username, as that cannot be hidden).

The user search setting will look like this:

    https://myaccount.ea.com > Privacy Settings

If the platform boxes above are unchecked, you can either add the check, (be sure to scroll down the page, and click on "update" to save any changes), or you can search for each other by each other's EA Account's username.

If the user search setting wasn't the problem, (or the boxes were already checked), here are the requirements to be able to send and receive gifts in Apex.

7kusc8hqnz29  Alright, so you're on Xbox. Have you looked into the user search setting in your EA Account, (or tried searching for each other by each other's EA Account's username), and checked to see if you meet the requirements to be able to send and receive gifts?

If you've already checked your EA Account's settings, had tried searching for each other's EA Account's usernames in-game, and you both meet the requirements to be able to send and receive gifts, (such as being friends in-game for at least 2 weeks, having 2-step verification enabled, being at least level 50 in-game, etc.), you may need to contact EA Support at help.ea.

Furthermore, do either of you have other friends who show up on the list of players who you can gift, or are they not showing up either?

Note: If no one else is showing up either, it may be because either you or them don't meet the requirements for gifting.

7kusc8hqnz29  I'd imagine you and your friend have been friends in-game for at least 2 weeks, (sadly platform friendships don't count according to the requirements), and that their account is in good standing, (as in, they are not banned, suspended, or have a locked account).

If that's the case, have you tried searching for them by their EA Account's username, (aka EA ID), rather than by their Xbox username, (aka Xbox gamertag)?

The reason why you would search by their EA ID instead of their Xbox gamertag, is if they have this box unchecked within their EA Account's settings and their username is different than their Xbox gamertag, (since the EA ID is always searchable, if its the same as the Xbox's gamertag, it would popup when you search for it):

    https://myaccount.ea.com > Privacy Settings

Another thing, I believe both players needs 2-step verification enabled on their account as well, (not just the one who's sending the gift).

If its not enabled, there should be a prompt to enable it.

Since they're already on your friends list, you should be able to find their EA ID when looking through the list of friends who you can currently gift items to.

If you cannot find them right away, use the search bar, and type in their EA ID, (the username of their EA Account, not their Xbox username, since you're unable to find their Xbox gamertag from within the list).

Also, here's a screenshot of the in-game gifting info as well, (which is roughly the same thing as the requirements link I've shared above):

Note: While it does say to make sure you're gifting to the right account on the right platform, I've had friends gift me items to my Switch account before through the in-game gifting menu, and I was still able to get them while on PC. (Although, that may not be the case for you and your friend, so I recommend that your friend checks their EA Account settings to make sure their user search setting allows them to be searchable by their Xbox gamertag).
