@Harmoniumxiv I know your struggles as I generally don't play mobility legends lol.
The only advice I can offer on this is to not engage in fights if you're not a favourable position. I normally create some noise and disengage...you can usually rely on another team to appear attempting a 3rd party so if you've backed out successfully they'll run straight into the team with the favourable position.
You've then taken one more team off the board, and if viable created a distraction while you flank the team that was giving you trouble initially. Or you can just run and wait for the circle to push them from said position. Alternatively you can just jump said team if they leave said position to loot the team you've just baited.
If its end circle then its literally a patience game, just utilise cover and wait for them to be forced to move.
Bottom line is patience is key. 😛
Yes but i don't have the choice, the zone will destroy me, i must to move, they got the high ground, i lose because of this, i realy don't like those situation, its so unfair.

@Harmoniumxiv OK so this goes onto the alternative strategy which is much simpler lol.
Rotate quicker.
If you're the first person to the most ideal spot in each final circle then you've removed that pressure of pushing forward with the circle on your butt and people trying to mow you down.
Pathfinder/crypto/bloodhound are literally the Kings for this if you aint good at predicting end circles. Information is power in BR's and these legends have access to one of the most underrated features in apex.
Survey beacons.
Hell if you use pathy you even get a cooldown reduction on your zipline for using them.

I play rampart, and i am nearly all the time alone by myself, not easy, sometimes i am lucky enough to get a nice place and the zone close on me, which is good, but sometimes the zone go where i can't reach, then i know its done.

@Harmoniumxiv Do you not have any friends that play?
Rampart is one of the hardest legends to solo queue with because most randoms are just idiots and won't make use of your abilities lol.

@HarmoniumxivIt happens but how is it any different than dealing with a Caustic who has the only building trapped? You can't win that unless you have a ton of nades or seriously outskill the Caustic team...
I'm okay with legends being able to gain advantages based on their abilities, even in end rings. You have advantages with your legends.
I have been bang with a digital threat in final ring I smoke it and the enemies are spinning in circles as I down them. I have been caustic and trapped people inside of buildings.. I have played as Path and zipped to the high POI.. It's part of apex legends and the game dynamic. Yeah it kind of sucks when it goes against you. But it's awesome when it plays into your favor.
@Harmoniumxiv So perhaps you're good enough to play in those lobbies? But he's not? Are you sure they are current preds? Lots of people don't even make it into the lobbies with the preds.. They see old pred trails from Season 2 and 3. If you're in a top tier lobby you'll see tons of the purple and red trails coming out of the drop ship, not just 1 or 2.
If he's not good enough for lobbies spend time with him in the firing range improving his skill or he can grind with randoms. I played most of Season 7 with randoms. My in game skill has sky rocketed because I constantly had to carry them.- 5 years ago
I often kill caustic before the gas kill me.

Ramp is a legend that a team has to play into. They have to play for positioning and setting up.. They have to go for high ground POI. So you need one of two things.. A team who will play for positioning and not kills or you need teammates who can help you brute force push the more desirable locations.
You also need teammates who will watch your flank when you are on Shelia. Don't forget to put a wall up behind you when you put Shelia down. Even if you have teammates covering your back you're a stationary target so while they might be able to provide some cover fire for a bit. They won't be able to protect you entirely.
I'd be happy to play some rounds with you here and there and play into her strengths. But I tend to be a more aggressive player who likes to look for and push fights.

That is how you can tell its time to improve. Paying attention to your surroundings and positioning is very important in the game just as aiming and moving. This is something if you work on will help you over come as you will have the position well before they will once you see circle being some where and or it being high ground.

If there’s one thing I learned from the Obi Wan vs Anakin Skywalker fight is that having the high ground is always an advantage. Lol.
