Ive been losing internet connection and getting penalised as a "dash boarder"

@Pauldrake1998 Unfortunately Paul, that's not their problem. Sorry you have poor internet service. I'd suggest not playing ranked until you get establish a better connection.

@asukojo But why not just solve the problem of dash boarding make it so that if a player dashboards they loose the point they would have lost if they died. not all players are trying to cheat and its unfair to assume that everyone is in this instance EA is making it so that I can participate in the section of the game that my friends play in and that I enjoy I like the grind on gaining and losing points and I think that something should be resolved instead of penalising the players that are just trying to play the game.

@Pauldrake1998 Update, after calling EA ive been told basically stop playing ranked or my account will get banned. if anyone else is having a similar problem try to make it know because if not were probably screwed for ranked apex.

The problem lies in the differentiation between the cheaters and the unfortunate ones. Mainly that you can't really differentiate between the two.

While it is really unfortunate that your connection isn't handling the game well, you did mention yourself that it's an issue with your setup, not theirs. You can't reasonably expect the developers to provide leniency for issues on the users end.

For example....

I recently purchased GTA 5 for PC on a whim. After a couple of technical issues I had to uninstall the game, and am currently unable to re-download it due to the fact that I use tethering to my mobile device as my primary internet at the moment, and another 88gb file download will fill my data cap and brick my phone.

Could the devs had made their install process more stable (oooh buddy everybody complains about EA, but don't get me started on Rockstar...) sure. Could they make the file size smaller? Maybe. However I could have also anticipated that purchasing such a large game could have negative implications on my metered connection.

I am truly sorry, especially if you live in a part of the world where fast stable internet is not available to you, but there really isn't a lot that the devs could do from their end, given the extenuating circumstances.

With that being said.... The only long shot suggestion I could offer you, is to maybe look and see if your phone could help you as it does me? ASSUMING you posses a 4g capable devices and a data plan. For my part personally, on Verizon networks in the US, I'm able to comfortably run Apex and Discord simultaneously with about 70ms ping and very little lag. I have never disconnected mid game using this setup. Perhaps it's an option to look into?

@blkarmphoenix Im just trying to raise awareness to the problem I think that the devs could implement changes like I said that would remove dash boarding from the game such as just giving the players the points that they earned or didn't earn in the match or just give the cost of playing in the ranked match. ie even if I'm wining in a diamond match but my wifi goes out give me the -48 points not -72 and a ban. I just want to play a game that I love in the way that I want with my friends I dont want to be forced into pub matches out of fear of being banned for something I cant control.

@SpyrosFPS Looking into that but I think it’s a problem that should be addressed by the game figure out a way to remove the ability to dash board.
