- @aisthebestletter Here before the "just play rank bro" replies. I definitely agree. What hurts the most is that when that random dies he/she still quits even if you killed the enemy squad. I believe that any mode should have leaver penalties even it's just pubs but I not all of us can tolerate AI minded randoms and would just insta quit. If ever leaver penalties would be put in pubs, it should be lower than the ones you get for leaving rank games.
what makes it feel worse imo is when those rage quitters are the toxic W key players who will rush head first into a fight only to realize he's not A warlord like shiv and sink to his death leaving his teammates stranded on a lifeboat. also getting low level teammates/casuals against 3 stack diamond, master, and pred squads feels just as bad.

@aisthebestletter I was on the other day with a friend and MM was giving us some seriously skilled champion squads, I played maybe 10 matches that session 4 of which the random player we had left as soon they saw the champion screen. And 5 left once downed.
So yeah, although it was a short session only one player stuck around for the entire match. It's a pretty sorry state of affairs for a team based game really.
Had a game with the koochmeister where we had the #34 pathfinder kills too. Super balanced lobbies right?
So yeah....I'm inclined to pass part of the blame to mm with regards to leavers.
@aisthebestletterI wouldn't know. I keep not getting a partner in Duos 😂😂😂!
I must confess the longer I play this game the more I leave matches prematurely. Love the game for the most part however I have a major problem with it, teammates.
I much prefer duo's to trio's and will normally play duo's or solo duo's. I actually prefer playing solo a lot of the time but it is very hard to win against duo's playing solo, out of hundreds of attempts I've managed it once.
I started playing with the Mic on but rarely had any good expirences, ending up in sweary shouting exchanges on several occasions. This is not good for my health so only play now with voice comms disabled.
When I get a good teammate I won't quit the game, I'll wait until I've timed out, but it has to be worth it. If a teammate hot drops me and I die instantly I'm quitting. If a teammate rushes round the map not allowing me any time to loot and I die when they're miles away I'll quit. If a teammate starts a fight then runs off leaving me to die I'll quit. This goes both ways, if a teammate does these things and dies I won't try to save them.
The game frustrates me so much, I want to play alone but I need a teammate to win. I can't communicate with my teammates because of the awful toxicity that comes through voice chat.
Now looking at it from EA's point of view, they want people to play together. If people play with friends they are more likely to play more often and spend more money. I've tried to team up and find people to play with but I hate it, I'm talking to a complete stranger and I spend most of my time worrying about what to say. It's stressful and I don't play video games to get stressed out, I've never bought a cosmetic item in all my time gaming, I'm not a good customer.
EA doesn't want me to play solo, they need people like me in lobbies with their valued customers so that it's much easier to manipulate games via Sbmm and keep as many people as they can engaged.
So yeah I've become a toxic player, and probably won't be playing this game much longer. I definitely won't be spending any money on it. If it had solo's I'd play much more. My first experience of BR was Firestorm and I was top of the leader board for solo wins for the first few months so I know I like solo's, then the game died. Warzone solo's is a horrible campy mess where more often than not you die without seeing who shot you.
Love the game, movement, gun play, TTK, pacing, third partying, characters, abilties all that good stuff, just hate the teammates.
That's because you get a bonus for leaving matches in Apex

After dropping in a good area, a fight breaks out. My team manages to eliminate the only opposing team.
Kills are not evenly spread (3, 0, 0), and I pick up both team mates after the fight ends. Unfortunately, I should have looted before picking them up, but since I'd rather have at least some peace of mind, and because I still have faith in humanity I rezzed them both before looting. They, instead, looted EVERYTHING! Left me with nothing.
Player 1: "pings ammo", "I need heavy ammo!"
Player 1: types in chat: "hold on, I have 0 ammo"
Player 2: "Faster! Faster! Faster!
Player 3: "Just a tick, healing up"
Player 1: "I need heavy ammo!" pings location, "I'm gonna look for loot there"
Player 1: types in chat: "Please wait, I need ammo"
Player 2: says: "Shut the F@#$ up, R@$#%^#d"
Player 2: "growls: I'm hit"
Player 3: "Taking a wee bit of damage."
Player 2: "growls, I'm down!" --> disconnects
Player 3: "Me and N.E.W.T. are down!" --> disconnects
Player 1: sadly disconnects.
Perhaps leaving is the least of all evils. @Vdstrk @shaunlake1344 I was getting bad random teams with my 500 lvl account and now its not even funny with my lvl 30 acct. Apex is kinda like the honor system that your gonna play together to win. Towards the end of season 8 every other random would not break off and follow me to grab loot, even if there were no enemies nearby, and there's a whole other building next door. I never disconnect. If I find myself in a squad like this I will just push us into a fight and take big risks.
