Pad Aim-assist is too much...
I'm not a guru, just a very experienced player and i'd love to hear everyone's opionion but let me share some thoughts first...
It is not rare to be perfeclty tracked down during a gunfight and it is frustrating knowing how hard you have to train with the mouse to keep a correct aim on a target. I played fps costantly for 10 years (mostly overwatch, apex, valorant, cod) and i would say that i am getting good just during the past 2/3 years. i spent hundreds of hours in Aim lab cause when you want to be precise with mouse you gotta stick to the training until you use it like it is an extention of your arm, i am not kidding, it is all about muscle memory and developing it correclty. You start finding your right sens (with some rules, like it has to be low to be accurate on long shots etc etc) then you stick with that sens on every single game to keep the muscle memory in a good status. You train flick shots, tracking targets in movement... some proplayers gave me some exercises to reduce the hand's micromovement to be as still as possible when need it.
Now... after all the dedication i put in this, i can see players low level, low ranking, less experienced than me, tracking me down smootly because they are using a pad. If you look on youtube aim guides for apex the big part of them talks more about settings than actually improving, on the other hand the mouse guides can all be synthetized with a "git gud" and there is no settings except the sensibility that you can manage to improve your performance. I met 2 predators and many other master players in my life and everyone told me that i HAVE to start using controller if i wanna try to reach the higher ranks, because mouse is actually a limitation. I understand the gamepad's limitation, cause an analog stick would never be good to perform a Flickshot but it just fells unfair to me to be killed by a less experienced player just because the system gives him a huge help in keeping the gun pointed at me.
I was very untolerant about the use of the XIM but i started thinking; why can't i use the bonus that ever controller player get? if this is the situation i kinda find it more fair if everyone has aim assist instead to struggle more than others just because i like playing with mouse and keyboard
I just want Respawn to take a look at this unbalanced situation (in my opinion at least) and try to reduce the aim assists' range activation, or just his efficiency against targets in movement.
Now just to be clear, i don't want to * anybody off, i'm openminded enough to accept to be denied but at least i need to hear the reason why it has to be like this.
