Hitting for 5% more means that whenever a pathfinder would have escaped with 5% health or less, he doesn't - he's dead. It means everytime you run into a pathfinder who has been shot by someone else - he's weaker than he would have been before this passive existed.
Of course more pathfinders are dying, because whether we're good players, crap players or middle of the road - we take more damage.Basically players who would have cried about not getting enough hits on Pathfinder are being bribed into ignoring that this issue isn't actually fixed. I've got the fatboi twitch prime skin for Path and I ran it for a day to see how much more successful I was. In gold ranked at the time when barely anyone had gotten to gold, it was a marginal difference. In normal apex vs the full range of players : it was a huge difference and presented a clear advantage over the model that the hitbox is built to.

1# Im chosing to hit them now? This isn't the matrix lol.
I chose to hit them a long time ago but i din't.
if only things in life where so easy huh?
2# never claimed it to be 100% better, And its not magically there is a lot of technical stuff going on that may seem like magic to you.
But i can assure you its not.
3# How do you know they barely changed anything? Unless they released a technical report on what they did change ( No your playdough pictures are not a good technical report. )
They lack latency issues, movement issues, skin issues. AND its only from the front no the sides or in a angle.
4# Never screamed HITBOX HITBOX HITBOX. When i missed a pathfinder i should have hit.
Why do you make up stuff im thinking and saying?
it makes the arguments a bit weird..

- I din't talk about killing them but about hitting them. There is a HUGE difference.

- So your just assuming no one is playing against pathfinders with the huge skins?
In the patchnotes they even announced that they are going to check on the big skins and change things if that is neccesary.
So we are not getting bribed into anything.

@DaAceXDLies all lies IMO. all you have to do is crouch with him. then 1/2 the hitbox you had (which is still messed up) well almost nothing. This is PC, Maybe aim assist helps you console guys out.If you crouch with him then you have 1/2 the hitbox?
I think that counts for all legends....
And crouching targets are easy to hit becouse they don't move fast.
crouching pathfinders where never a problem.
''Maybe aim assist helps you console guys out.''
Stop assuming things.
Pathfinder should not have low profile
!!!
EA_Blueberry: Removed ALL CAPS
- @DUECE1 He should have more punishments considering how mobile he is .

@DUECE1 Yes he should. Skinny model and hugely mobile.
I'm gonna start maining him as he seems to have that many odd inconsistencies and his movement speed with grapple is unparalleled, not using him is a disadvantage imo.
Even with low profile I found myself surviving gunfights I wouldn't normally.
He has the 3rd biggest hitbox out of all legends. It's not justified that he is tagged with low profile along with the 2 smallest hitbox legends just because people cant hit moving targets.
^ This.
If the lazy over-corrections keep going, when they do finally correct the Pathfinder models so you can hit what you can see : he'll just be unplayable. As this thread has shown, when the whining about the hitbox doesn't cut it it just metastasizes into whining about his abilities because people have gotten too used to blaming Pathfinder's OPness for their losses instead of saying "I could have shot/moved better there".
Adding these weird non-balance counter-incentives to him instead of fixing the problem is like jailing the wrong person for committing a crime. The real criminal is still out there causing problems - i.e the crap on his models that you can see but not hit. Same as with Wattson's backpack.
While no one is concentrating on the real issue with PF, Respawn are going to keep making the same mistake with other characters and we're just all going to have more stuff we can see but not actually land hits on.

He can stay as he is. I've started to main him. You do not get hit as much in fire fights. It seems "A/B" strafing is more effective, and the get away speed of the grapple is second to none.
Something is broken with him, but sack it, I'm just using him now. There are zero drawbacks to using him.
@DaAceXDIf you're not going to read, I'm not going to dignify you with any replies :/ I didn't say you're now choosing to hit the character, I said you're now choosing to not blame the hitbox when you miss, hence my original comment about it being a placebo effect.
Repeating the word technical doesn't make what you're saying more reliable :/ The image I posted was just a map of where you can go into game with your friend and shoot to see if you get hits. You said earlier in the thread you've done this so I'm shocked that you can suddenly announce to the world that the hitbox is good when it's essentially not changed whilst the character is stationary.
So, you can follow the same instructions I gave earlier and see that the hitbox is near identical whilst the character is stationary. And your 'personal experience' evidence is met by my 'personal experience' evidence. You say it's a lot easier for you to hit Pathfinder now, I say it hasn't changed.
The difference is - what I say is backed up by something we can measure.- @Silz616 There are zero drawbacks to using most characters. They all come down to how you use them and playing to their strengths.
It 'seeming' like A/B strafing is more effective isn't exactly conclusive. Main him for a while - you'll get cleaned up by the same amount of shots you would playing anyone except caustic/gibbles, with the only difference being afforded by grappling away if you can do it well.
You won't be able to rat away through buildings as well as Octane or Wraith, especially since you're tall enough that you practically fill the doorways and PK peekers won't miss.
Use one of the legendary skins though if you want to play for an advantage - because that's where it is.
