PC player tries Apex on console
I used to play fps games on console for over 10 years, I stopped 2.5 years ago when I got a PC. When this game was new I saw clips and streams of console/controller players. I noticed no recoil on any of the guns and what looked like borderline aimbotting, I assumed because of the "aim assist".
After playing Apex only on PC since launch, I decided to see just how strong "aim assist" is on console, since we have crossplay now. I was expecting the game to be very easy based on what I've seen in videos and spectating console players.
So I plugged in my Xbox one, installed Apex, and played several games. It was beyond what I had expected. I keep typing "aim assist" and not aim assist, because it's not assisting you. It's literally doing the aiming for you, I have never felt like I was using aimbot till I tried Apex on console.
Honeslty I consider this "aim assist" to be cheating. It's literally just an aimbot. This should not be allowed whatsoever, definitely not against PC players. It definitely shouldn't be allowed in the comp scene either. If I was spectating a console player I would report them for aimbotting. There is almost no difference between this "aim assist" and an aimbot. Something needs to be done about this.
The other thing I noticed is how great the footstep audio was. Like TF? I was mad at how it actually worked all the time, it was annoying. On PC good luck hearing one footstep from an entire squad running on top of you.
These console players get perfect footstep audio and aimbots? I don't want to play against these people they're literally cheating.
I don't get how console players didn't want crossplay because "PC has aimbotters", like what are you talking about you start out with an aimbot.
It's bad please fix it somehow, I don't care if you have to remove crossplay or "aim assist", just do something.
