Peacekeeper keeps you in check

People don't like the Peacekeeper because it has too much range. I don't recall seeing anyone complain about dying to a shotgun at point blank range. The problem is when the Peacekeeper is hitting you for 80+ damage even though you're fighting at over 10 meters away. The spread is just janky and the Precision Choke gives it way too much range...it's already got too much range without the Choke, but with the Choke you can practically snipe with it at medium range. It does too much for a shotgun.

The EVA-8 is also a good shotgun, but it's way more balanced. It only gets 2 attachment slots for Optics and a rate of fire increase and it loses its effectiveness at range a lot quicker than the Peacekeeper does. The EVA is strong in close range and throws out respectable, yet balanced DPS. It also takes more skill than the Peacekeeper because it does less damage per shot, you need to stay on target a bit more with it. This is how you do a balanced shotgun.

Personally, I do not think the Wingman is a problem. If they were gonna change anything about the Wingman, they should just remove the extended magazine slot for it. Keep it exactly the same in every regard, but make it so is always capped at 6 rounds. This way it is still strong in the intended niche, but it's way less spammable and gives you a better reload window to commit to counterplay.

And I disagree that it stops spray and pray. It actually rewards it. Jump around like a lunatic and shoot your shotgun wildly, you only need 2 good hits to get anyone down, no matter what they have. I've killed people that way and I'm not that good.

I've seen this sort of thing said a lot round here...but it just isn't true is it?! I swear people just need to conjure demons to hunt. On multiple occasions I've landed head/torso spreads within approx. 10m ranges, landing a full magazine of hits and not even getting a knockdown. Sure, the Peacekeeper has arguably OP qualities when the hop-up is attached, and that may need to be dialled back a bit, but it's also what keeps it balanced against the EVA - without the hop-up I'd rather have the EVA quite frankly so I can keep pulling the trigger on bouncy-bouncy shield-soaks in CQB.

...and, to be clear, yes, of course many people are going to fall back on shot guns in this game to get consistent, albeit relatively low results. The sheer speed of combat in this game plus the relatively insane character agility and freedom makes it very hard to consistently land bullets on target unless you're a mutant or cheating.

There is plenty of counterplay for the Peacekeeper. The fire rate is very predictable, so duck when you predict the next shot to throw off the opponents aim. Playing at distance certainly helps as well being that it is a shotgun. The range is good with the choke, but without it I've hit guys for like 12 at distance more times than getting a ton of damage from the same distance. There will always be one gun that stands out from the others in any game, and it just so happens the peacekeeper is that weapon right now. Instead of asking for nerfs, or even more ridiculously, asking for it to be removed completely, try to adjust to the meta. this game is still in it's infancy. I can almost guarantee you that if this game switches to a snipers meta at some point the Peacekeeper will become almost obsolete. It's the ebb and flow of competitive games. Play from distance, don't engage close quarters if you don't have a shot gun or close range weapon, and predict the shot pattern. Easier said than done, I know, but practice makes perfect. 

Um I can kill someone with a wingman before they get the second shot off on a peacekeeper. A pistol can kill faster than a peacekeeper. Yet the peacekeeper is op?

So ironic OP, the people who cannot aim are actually the ones abusing this broken gun meta.

You have absolutely zero evidence to back up your preposterous claim. Ironically, it’s harder to aim at something closer to you on screen than things that are further away, but if you want to point the blame at a weapon instead of Improving your own game by all means it is your right as a human do to so 🤷🏽‍♂️

Personally, I think the wingman is op af for a handgun why? simple the wingman is like a sniper that can shoot rapid shots at pretty much almost any distance currently the wingman does 45 damage which is almost the same amount most snipers do and it has a faster rate of fire bigger mag size  and the bullets probably travel faster too  i don't think to have a pistol that does the same amount the EVA-8-auto(shotgun) from any range is considered fine  

look at it this way if too players with aimbot where to 1v1 it literally won't matter what gun the other players is using the player with the wingman is probably going to win and again  its a pistol if the wingman was like a sniper where it did that amount of damage but slower fire rate or less mag size like every other sniper it would be fine but its a rapid-fire gun that carries the punch of the strongest weapons I don't think that's balanced at all its like being able to let the longbow  shot again and again with barely any delay

as for the peacekeeper, i find it to be a horrible gun but it makes sense why people don't like it the range of that weapon is insane not to mention a  full shot does 100+ damage

and then there's always that 1 guy that think only pros can use such guns and we only see them as op because it just soo happens that all the pros out of nowhere decided to use the wingman because it is totally fine well guess what the reason pros use it is because they know how broken it is  hell u don't even need to be a pro to land most of ur shots all u need is experience in pretty much any other battle royal 

picking ranged battles? LOL in a game where ranged weapons are useless and you're forced in to CQC in a tiny circle,yea,sure,thats the case in never never land maybe....
