Hi, are you experiencing the "weird" AA in actual matches, or just in the Firing Range?
If it's just the latter, it looks like that's a bug that we have tracked. - RXYRP3 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@EA_David im experiencing in both firing range and the actual match, it feels very strange. I stayed playing 4 hours yesterday and it was feeling very loose when shooting and aiming a target.
- @RXYRP This is interesting. A friend told me they noticed something weird in the range but not in game. You mention loose when aiming at a target. Was it loose when on target or near target where AA starts to slow the reticle. It kind of sounds like the .6 to .4 thing that happened a couple season ago.
- RXYRP3 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@hayhor , it felt even more than that, it felt like less than 0.4.
as a console player i usually beam with a volt and r99, but yesterday i sensed a huge difference and couldn't do what I usually do. i even spectated other players when they kill me, i watched their aim it was loose and drifting from enemies as if they cant aim correctly. I saw a player waste 2 magazines without being able to kill an enemy that was in front of him. while he had 7 kills to his name in that match. - @EA_David Happening in actual matches as well!! Very intermittent. You might have aim assist on one enemy, but the next enemy, the aim assist is completely gone
Anyone have an videos yet? When the accidental change was made before comparison vids started popping up almost instantly.
- @hayhor I have a video of AA not working in firing range, and a very short clip where aim assist wasn't working in a game. I stopped playing because it was irritating, otherwise I'd have more videos of it. Not sure where to post them though.
- @ExTiNkT91 Probably ok to do them here or in bug reports. @EA_David could probably advise. The firing range issue is known.

I thought the firing range felt weird lol! I blamed it on not playing for a couple days, but then my matches were *mostly* fine, the ones after the range felt bad, I couldn’t hit a gibby if he stood still lol! Maybe this has a lingering effect that fixes itself after logging off then back on (what I did). I played two ranked games, then logged off for an hour and had fantastic games afterwards. Hope this helped 😬
- @BigMacAttack8u That's an interesting theory. I never went into the range and did not seem to have issues.

See my other comment. If you cross the body, in game or firing range, coming back to the body does not re-apply aim assist. It removes it indefinitely so you’re left to raw input if someone strafes. Reproduced in firing range and in TDM against afk player.
- @Carneasada28 Good stuff. You mentioned you tested all inputs. Does it even affect people on alc? Alc you technically do not select one.

@hayhorYes, it does, I am on alc
I'm experiencing it in both actual matches and the firing range please revert it to how it normally was

"I never went into the range and did not seem to have issues."
Same here. No range and no issues in regular matches. - @reconzero Yeah I'm definately not going into it now. lol
- @ExTiNkT91 Post the in game one please.

Am I the only one who had the complete opposite experience? My first game of S17 I dropped a 13 bomb in pubs and AA has never felt better.
@DankTolietHave you used the new firing range?
Personally I haven't noticed anything and have had some decent beams and games. Maybe you track better than some or were less reliant on AA? Based on what's been said in testing, if you can keep your reticle on the player you won't lose AA. It could be your enemies are more reliant on it.- BigMacAttack8u3 years agoSeasoned Ace@DankToliet We found the culprit, the AA thief!
Jokes aside, this is an interesting development.
@hayhor from what I’m aware, there is a AA ring around enemies supposedly, and doesn’t actually cover the player. I believe there is a pocket without AA, like a pineapple ring around the enemy. (from my own testing) I came to this thread because I noticed in actual pub matches it doesn’t feel the same anymore.
- RXYRP3 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@EA_David i invested thousands of dollars in this game through 4 years of gameplay, and now my whole experience is ruined because of some kind of bug or secret AA nerf, and i think my time in playing and investing in this game is coming to an end because no body is even responding to this matter and no official statement about it.
Anyone know if they fixed it?
I played a couple days ago and didn't notice anything different, I even went into the firing range.
