Re: Are you guys MAD! THE Havoc!

Anybody that can control a havoc knows how much of a devastating headshot cannon it can be.

With a x2 multiplier that's  36 damage per headshot, with the havocs firerate and vertical recoil that makes headshots incredibly easy to land. It's raw dps comparison is irrelevant when you factor in the odds of 3 or 4 headshots in the mix.Put that in a skilled players hands and it's pretty damn hard to kill them.

We all know the havoc counter tactics but its just rarely that clean cut, fights are rarely 1v1 in apex and while that havoc users got you cover hugging you're at a disadvantage in the grand scheme of that battle.

@MandatoryIDtag The best thing about the havoc is that it recoils straight up. You start shooting their chest and wham headshot city as you get it under control. A really good player with it is nasty. I'm not that good but love it, tho I also carry it for its longer range versatility with the selectfire.
  • This game is built around looting and developing your guns. The Havoc requires no development— it performs like a fully kitted weapon. And it’s very very common.

If you don’t think that’s problematic then you are overlooking what this BR was meant to be.

It's funny how they removed turbocharger, extended energy mags and buffed considerably the havoc because they wanted people to use it, and now in S5 probably it will get nerfed and be again a secondary AR lol.

  • @Cro_Pittt  It just needs a bit of a mag nerf, i'm quite happy for it to remain both powerful and viable but 32 shots straight from pick up is too much.

I would suggest dropping it to 26 shots per clip, BUT reducing the ammo cost per shot for the select fire mode.

That's still 468 damage per full clip....nothing to shrug off as a minor threat.

@hayhor  Yup agreed, that's what i was saying initially, the verti recoil further enables that capacity for headshots as you literally only have to hold backwards lightly.

@MandatoryIDtag Pleased to be mentioned by you new Champ! :P

I agree with, i really liked the havoc even before S4 started, a lower mag size is the perfect nerf for sure, 26-27 rounds is the ideal to me.

Oh no how horrible! A weapon is good enough to compete with the extremely stale meta of 3 weapons that everyone uses? Nerf it now! I wanna 2 shot people with my Peacekeeper, 4 shot them with a * pistol or laser beam them in under 1 second. Wraith main btw xdxdx

  • @Xebulin  To be fair, the r99 requires some assembly, the PK is pretty inconsistent and the wingman takes some skill to use.

The havoc suffers none of these flaws really as even a newb can hipfire spam with it and get kills.

Plus the aforementioned weapons have all received a continuous  stream of nerfs and balances, why should the havoc be any different?

  • @Koochi-Q

The Wingman takes considerably more skill to use than the Havoc, and still only has 5 shots in its base form. The Havoc does a LOT more damage with 32 shots than the Wingman’s 5. It’s simply too damn viable in its base form. And yes, the Spitfire has a large base mag, but pretty poor damage per second compared to the Havoc.

    The spitfire is garbage.
    The Havoc slays.
Lv1 bodyshield mode was the ultimate slaying mode for the havoc. I could easily 1v3 with Havoc in that mode. Heck I could easily 1v6 in that mode with havoc.

The havoc would blast through those paper thin shields.

@MandatoryIDtag i was playing with it tonight and agree. The headshots are what push it above everything else.

The Body DPS is misleading because it’s head shot multiplier is so high. Toss in that it’s very easy to control, so landing the head shots is a cake walk.
  • @DarthValtrex  Yup, and its literally one of a very small number of guns you can run stock right up to end game and not be at any real disadvantage...the iron sights not amazing but it's usable.

You know what’s really misleading? Your very first line XD.

I just woke up, read the line and without thinking, stopped reading further so I was like ‘wtdeuce?!’ and then saw that the line continued xD

@MandatoryIDtagUsing the battle pass 301 skins is brilliant ironsights due to the curl of the horns giving the gun a x2 hcog vibe

In fact, coupling that skin with a x2 hcog gives the sight a nice curved pool to sit your targets in.

  • @1ronKeys  I don't really use that skin,I've got one the samurai style ones on mine,i generally prefer less screen clutter when I'm ADS. 😛

We were talking about the havocs ironsights though bud hehe. :D
