@EA_Davidi`m catching you for the second time on this topic. How is banning someone on a free game actually do anything? He is back in the next 5 minutes on a new acc.

As far as I know, EA does give IP/Hardware bans.

Cheater "TUFI" confirm anticheat not work and report not work....this is it..

  • @lnxtvv  Most of the players here who claim to be falsely banned all have one thing in common, they don't have 2fa activated.

So if their account has been hijacked and they've been banned as a result then anticiheat is quite obviously is working.

    Less of the propaganda please.

  • @lnxtvv Lmao TUFI is such a special case. One with sufficient skills and experience to be as slippery as he is but wastes it entirely on trolling in a video game.
  • Let me start with this:

I didn`t use any faul language or spreading desinformation.

Post was made, i saw it, and then disappear. Its probably marked as a spam, but i don`t get the reason for it.

Anyway i will try it again one more time. 😠

Let me state first that i`m talking generally, and not slamming just on Apex Devs, but across all FPS.

First let me start with the Cheating Devs/Company. Its pretty much like me, exploiting and making modification lets say on a big car brand, and then sell it so i can make a profit. The moment i do this without the company consensus, i`m done for good.

Cheaters Dev are making money out of a product that Respawn/EA owns without their consensus and breaking their rules.

Winning a few causes and closes just a few company/Devs will just put a big hit on the cheaters Dev, as no one will want to get his hands on this.

But here is the thing, not just 1 game Dev have to do this, but all around the FPS, and then pretty fast, pretty seriously. There still will be private cheats, but will be way less.

Then we have the people that are promoting cheats on youtube, and all the sites/forums around them. This is even an easier task. Cause youtube cheat providers/promoters are a big problem, they are all over the place. So many people stream and put videos while they cheating, and promoting and selling them. There is people that are running channel for so so long, and no one touches them. Tufi channel gets down, not because of EA/Respawn, but because ShivFPS and his followers do the work. They get it down.

Second, start banning on IP/HW. Many people are ignorant and don`t know how to hide their tracing. Its not hard to track even people using VPN, as well as just block/ban certain VPN services. You going to get ban a lot of kids who decide to rage cheating.

Third and most importantly Game Devs method of fighting cheaters are outdated from long time and every cheaters know how to bypass their anti-cheat. Not to mention most games use same Engines, and cheaters have easy day at the office.

Also authentication for creating multiple accounts are good idea as well. You just need to make them good.

Some times ago i get banned for creating multiple accounts(i totally forget i have acc on that site and not event remember the mail/pass), and of course i created a new one and i get banned. I try with VPN and new acc, didn`t work. I pretty much try it so many different stuff, but i was still getting banned. :D

This was a movie discussion forum btw, but their "protecting" stuff was on point. :D

But here where the reality hits. Its not hard to IP/HW ban, but you are losing that person as a customer for pretty much forever. This means - less player, less money.

Its not a secrets that there is tons of cheaters.

I know how some people claims there are none, but there was posts on reddit on some forums with screenshots on Apex Legends private cheats, and there was thousands of K people reply and buying them, as well as most of the threads for different cheats was like 50-100k. And there is hundreds of this sites/forums out there.

So claiming there is not much cheaters is just nonsenses.

Valorant have a very good anit-cheat, and most people claim its the best out there, and you can`t cheat, which is also a nonsenses. I know a guy that is nothing special on coding and he is making so call mouse acceleration cheats, and he can do all like triggerbot, no-recoils and all kind of stuffs, and its external cheat, for example in his mouse.

But there is not much blatant cheaters, aka aimbotters and people think the game is cheat-free, while its not.

The new game Scavengers that is in early access - and there is already plenty of cheaters, they are streaming on youtube shows and sell cheats.

Warzone is a absolutely mess. They at least have Bad Boy Beaman to expose the fake streamers, but Activision is literally doing nothing. And their so call permanent ban that is IP/HW ban is lasting exactly 7-14 days and you are back on a new acc.

    Its an absolutely joke.

If you are keep doing the same thing over and over again, and there is no result at all, you are pretty much doing nothing. You should try new and unique methods, you should take harder approach.

But still my points stands. No one wants to permanent ban every cheater, because you are losing player base, and in that matter - money.

@LordloshBang Some posts can not be posted due to the long text fields. I have had it happen to me and lost all the things I wrote out.
  • @LordloshBang  I agree that some of these methods will reduce cheater numbers initially, but its just slapping a band aid on the issue so to speak.

To elaborate on the whole taking legal action  element of the discussion.  Let's say the major developers in the industry do unite and go on a witch hunt for cheat sellers, they'll likely be successful and that will without a doubt drop the numbers for a while. It then however creates a gap in the market, because people will still want to cheat....so inevitably that gap will be filled. Which means the process has to start all over again.

Honestly comparing it to the drug industry would be a pretty accurate analogy.

Authentication would be a similar issue, it would slow the flow of cheaters initially, until people start googling how to bypass these systems, and we would be back to square one.

As for IP/HWID bans, these are actually already in play.

I'm not just trying to shoot you down here to clarify, I wish it really was a simple feat to solve the problem at hand...there's just a helluva lot of complexity to the problem. x.x

If think you've definitely got the right idea with making casual cheaters the main focus though, although it would have to be a constant battle.

@MandatoryIDtagi never said its an easy thing. Its like anti-virus and viruses on the net. Its always a battle.
But relying on old stuffs is just doing nothing.
As far as Ip/HWID bans, as far as i know they are doing this only on people that ddos-ing or so. Otherwise their ban is just an account one. You just move on to the new one.

As far as the comparison to the drugs i disagree.
Here we have a 100% proofs. We have videos, we have sites, we have forums, and we got all the information we need.
The year is 2021, you pretty much can get suit for anything that is illegal and you trying to squeeze money on someone else back.
And if all(won`t be all, but most) fight together this will be way easier task.
But i stated the reasons why this won`t happen.
There is hundreds of methods, its not just 1-2. And there is many people with unique suggestions and so.
But they are still relying on old stuffs, that are 100% proven that are not working in the long run.

As far as Authentication goes, how can they bypass it, if they are already banned ? By the time they realize they f***** up, it will be late.
But for that you need to perma ban. Not just acc bann, and bang he is on the next account and ready for the challenge.
Its the same with IP/HWID ban.
But again we are back to that they don`t want to lose that customer forever.

And again i`m not slamming on Apex, this is a FPS big problem. Most other MP genres doesn`t have such problems.

I love the game, otherwise not going to spend that much time in such topics.

Remember when Epic sued some kid for advertising/selling Fortnite cheats on YT. Epic got so much smack for it, people were saying how "big bad Epic ruined some poor childs life because of a video game"  People were literally defending the hell out of that kid making Epic look like the evilest company in the world. No way EA would go the same route, especially with their already messed-up reputation...

However, from a technical standpoint, there are tons of things they could do but they won't because this goose is laying golden eggs as it is. And really it's only around top 10% of the player base that is suffering from hackers the other 90% don't even see it as a big deal.
