@dSKyNafinchin So a player could reach Diamond for a day, then start throwing on purpose every game because he's going to get Diamond rewards even if he gets demoted?

@Cro_PitttYes that is correct. I believe this is the same system the game has for ranked arenas. 

@Cro_PitttThis this is why demotion with no maximum drop is dumb and hasn't helped fix the way rank is played.

That old info tho. It has always stated that. Idk about that since this season is new with the demotion you might have to end the split with the highest rank. That’s like saying I reached Pred and I’ll get the ranked reward but you don’t you have to end the split in Pred. And it doesn’t say that in those forums. Nor it explains it in details on how it works. Yeah it says highest rank achieve but you couldn’t go back down a whole rank in previous seasons. So I wouldn’t risk it if you want those rewards or test it out so we could find out. Also I could be wrong because I didn’t play season 13 when demotion was introduce.

@sergthepandaThey've (the devs) said the highest ranked achieved during the split. Demotion doesn't matter because they did not want people quitting when they reach a rank.

The only exception is the same as always which is pred. You need to finish in pred in a split to get pred. This is because there is a max number of preds allowed.
