Re: Mistake banned

@R0GUE-l7 I got falsely banned. I appealed TOS initially (before I even got an email). Got Denied. Made a 2nd - got denied.. 3rd and on its been - were not going to unban you, instant responses. Best I can suggest is keep trying, but so far there is a group of us, all in the same boat. ☹️

    @EA_Mako @BinkDeBook @BinkDeBook EA Help said my ban was direct from Respawn on 4/26. Is that EAC? I have reached out to some Respawn developers using LinkedIn in-mail and also to Respawn on Twitter. EA Help tried to hi-jack the Twitter convo..

    Whatever this is, it appears to not be straight forward hacking. I think they owe it to their customers to look into these requests.

    Hey @B0n3SawMcSizzla,

    The Terms of Service team is the one that's able to look into account bans. They'll have full access to all records necessary to check into the account access and activity to make a determination on what happened.

    If they've already reviewed multiple appeals and have decided not to remove the ban, I'm afraid we won't be able to assist further.

    @EA_Mako Yes, but the ban was direct from Respawn TOS isn't prepared to help with anything beyond hacked accounts. This genuinely is a EAC bug or it might be considered an exploit since we went on the balloon in Olympus by Hammond Labs that was removed in S9? I remember reading an article about how they were banning people for using that jump tower. If you watch the video, I was trying to go the other way, but regrouped and my squad took it.

    If an account was hacked but there was no ban, an advisor can help out with the situation. If there is a ban, that part falls into TOS territory.

    TOS reviews all banned accounts, whether hacked or not. They're absolutely capable of reviewing all aspects of an appeal regardless of how the action was initially placed on the account.

    @B0n3SawMcSizzla So how did you get the information that your ban was direct from Respawn? Vs. from say EAC flagging it?
    I kept asking if the fact I got caught on a few servers during what appeared to be DDOS attacks, and somehow survived until it settled down 1 or 2 times out of the 4 or 5 times it happened - caused the Respawn checkers to fire me as one of the ones involved.
    But got no clear answers other then we won't discuss that.

    @BinkDeBook The EA help rep talked to his manager and they said that EAC reports come from Respawn i.e. from "above." That is why it is so difficult for TOS to overturn anything. Really, TOS could be replaced by a script that looks at the JSON file. Maybe I got caught up in some DDOS BS. One of my teammates (random) said something very suspect about how he was getting disconnected all the time. It just sounded weird. I was like , 'yeah its been happening alot," because I was getting disconnected a lot around the end of season 8.

    @B0n3SawMcSizzla Via the EA Help on Twitter? I had asked them initially and was told to go through TOS. I guess I need to go back via that route again. I tried pinging Hideouts on Twitter about it, never got a response.

    @EA_Mako I read a lot about accounts being hacked, is this genuinely a common thing?! You guys can tell by someone’s IP right? Is it time for two factor verification to protect our accounts??

    It seems like hackers are going after active accounts, which is odd. Like many players I am hyper sensitive to my stats and would notice if they plunged or spiked without reason. If a player notices this, can they raise it for investigation?

    @SquishyVader To answer your question, yes hackers do go after active accounts.

    I'm not entirely sure why they would but you see a lot of people on here posting about how their accounts got hacked and they have been banned.

    It's really good that you take notice of your stats because if you do ever see anything change drastically in them then get in touch with EA straight away.

    I have TFA already turned on for my account I believe I'm not sure if it is any different across the platforms though.

    The live chat EA servers are always a good help as well.
