Re: My Heirloom set was not the wraith heirloom like promised!

Hey @FB-Fatoh

Heirloom drops work as following.
You will receive a random heirloom within 500 Apex packs.
When you hit the heirloom drop table, a roll will start and give all heirloom on the drop table an equal % chance.
Current chances: 33.3% Wraith, 33.3% Lifeline, 33.3% Bloodhound.

You got unlucky and received the bloodhound heirloom.

It is correct that it's outdated on the website and it says that the wraith one is the only one it the game but this information should get updated soon as this is passed to the team that is in charge of the Apex Legends website

    Hey @Zeelmaekers

Now i know that it is split between the three different legends. Since i didn't get the Wraith skin but Apex is a huge company that makes millions off of players like us and should have posted it on their website. I start buying packs 2 months ago. And i promise you if i knew that Wraiths heirloom skin isnt a 100% chance in getting i wouldnt have Spent the money. So i feel like i was scammed!!! Hopefully EA can do something about this. Because it is Stressful and makes me hate the game! thanks For your reply and opinion!!

  • @FB-Fatoh outch bro, that's harsh, wish you'd have asked here on the forum before you began spending.

Does the website really not state outright that heirlooms are chosen at random? I've seen more examples of incomplete information with regards to the heirlooms before.

We all want them to switch to a voucher system so players can loot a voucher from a pack that can be redeemed for an heirloom set of choice.

But hey, with the Bloodhound Physical copy skin set you do look pretty badass with Bloodhound. The axe is honestly much nicer than the kunai (I own both).

  • @FB-Fatoh Okay first, if you played apex 2 months ago there is almost no way that you couldn’t have known that the Wraith heirloom wasn’t the only one gained by the max 500 packs. Even if you didn’t see all the trailers or didn’t read all the articles by EA/Respawn/other sites or hadn’t seen any yt vids regarding the matter just due to 1 detail. You have witnessed either or both the event regarding bloodhound’s or lifeline’s heirloom.

The link that mentions that the Wraith Heirloom is 100% obtainable in the first 500 apex packs is more obscure and harder to find than any single media I mentioned.

DESPITE that, @whateverEAemployee that’s reading, this exemplifies the slowness regarding updating stuff. Couple of weeks ago the same issue was highlighted on this forum. It doesn’t take a couple of weeks to update a site... even worse, an item that should be updated at least since the Bloodhound event.

@Wingmannedbro @Koochi-Q  I Literally never look at Forums for any games i play the game for fun. i work 60 hours every week so when i go home i hop on straight to the game! and as far as knowing there are other heirlooms ofcourse i knew but apex list them as even heirlooms not heirlooms that you can get from the packs i just made this forum account two days ago. so yeah i really did not know that bloodhounds heirloom was a possibility.. Otherwise i wouldnt have been buying packs!

@Wingmannedbro  yes they don't list the bloodhound heirloom as an item you can get from packs it is listed as an event item!

How is it not assumed that when more heirloom items are introduced the odds of you getting the one you want go down?  I don't even care what the info says that is just common sense.  Really since it is just gambling anyway even when their was only one heirloom item to get how can one even complain.

According to EA Apex website on the FAQ section:

How does the Bonus Heirloom set work?

When a player opens an Apex Pack, there is a <1% probability of an Heirloom Set dropping. Heirloom Set drops do not deduct an Apex Pack from your inventory. Heirloom Sets cannot be crafted with Crafting Metals. A player cannot open more than 500 Apex Packs without receiving an Heirloom set (assuming the player does not own all of the available Heirloom Sets). Once a player owns all of the Heirloom Sets, the player will not be eligible for this bonus until more Heirloom Sets are added to the game.

However this has only been recently updated as I was aware of it saying the Wraith Heirloom only not so long ago when someone else complained about it not stating the correct facts. It also seems they need to update other FAQ's.

@GRiPSViGiL  Hey Mr common sense. in 99% of the games when there is an event skin  in any game the only time you are able to get the skin is in the event unless listed otherwise Pubg, Fortnite both games have skins that you were only able to purchase at a certain time of the game which is how EVENT Skins are. If your not gona say anything helpful then just dont comment at all save your self the time and just skip the thread.. thank you and have a good day!

@iBlockHead  I wish i was aware of these forums i had no idea about them until i complained to ea about my situation and that is when they told me to reach out to the forums with the link as well. Thanks for your comment!

  • @FB-Fatoh yea anytime.

Seems like they just need to keep up with their events and descriptions on their website to match the current situations in order to avoid having this issue come up again.
  • @FB-Fatoh That’s why I stated that you could see it in-game. The above options were where you could see it as well but during the previous events in both cases they stated that the heirlooms would be in the regular circulation of the apex packs. In no case can I see that someone playing for 2 months (dunno when bloodhound’s heirloom event ended) didn’t read the in-game stuff regarding the matter. It might be the case for you that you actually didn’t browse the event section, but as a sceptic I find that highly doubtful and improbable.

But in any case just make a ticket and they might convert your heirloom for Wraith’s.

This is such BullS*** I've just spent a dump load of money only to not be informed that its a 50/50 chance now I'm sitting with an heirloom I didn't want for a character I never play and close to $700 down the drain only to be told that now that lifelines Heirloom is out that it is still only a 50/50 chance. So what EA is telling me that a product that was once a guaranteed set amount has just got more expensive and rare?! so if anyone is reading this basically EA has made it so that after Christmas of 2019 there is a chance it could cost you somewhere in the range of $2400 just to get the Wraith Heirloom because it's never been in the shop! And EA wonders why Reddit users make fun of them.

THANKS EA, for wasting my money and a game I really enjoyed

I don't even know why I'm making this message its not like my voice will be heard Im just the 1 out of millions of customers that have been scammed. The least EA could do is give us a wraith event to buy the heirloom like pathfinder and lifeline and bloodhound I just think it's not right that I've worked towards an item that was only obtainable one way and now it just got the chance of getting even more expensive. ALMOST THREE TIMES EXPENSIVE! AND ITLL JUST GET WORSE

    @Shrapnel_SA ... its actually 1/3.. soon to be 1/4 of a chance...

In all honestly, you chose to spend said money. It should be known by now that the heirloom pool gets one additional added every time a new one drops.

They have also updated their page since the first error and now it states:
When a player opens an Apex Pack, there is a <1% probability of an Heirloom Set dropping. Heirloom Set drops do not deduct an Apex Pack from your inventory. Heirloom Sets cannot be crafted with Crafting Metals. A player cannot open more than 500 Apex Packs without receiving an Heirloom set (assuming the player does not own all of the available Heirloom Sets). Once a player owns all of the Heirloom Sets, the player will not be eligible for this bonus until more Heirloom Sets are added to the game.

Thus you only have yourself to blame for not looking into this deeper. Apex does not need to remind players that their loot pool probably increased/decreased when it's on their website, but I hope this clarifies everything now.

you are right i did choose to spend the money but at the time i had no idea the bloodhound heirloom was an option because of the fact that when it did come out. they listed it as an exclusive item for a limited time.. I Work 60 hours a week so i dont look at the forums only the updates and they did not mention it in any of the updates... but thanks for taking your time and explaining.. apex is a company that just wants money but i learned my lesson and would  resolve this issue with my bank since no ea employee wants to say anything about it!!
