@DeathRaven_1983  No, servers are always like this, no matter if they are overloaded or empty. This is one of the major issues of apex but it's not being fixed 🤨

@Koochi-Q  don't they use EA servers, in which case they can't  fix them as they ain't their servers to fix surely?

I think we'll see the second coming of christ, the skynet apocalypse and aliens settling on earth before EA dips into their vast profit pool and invests in server upgrades. (In that order too)

@Koochi-Q  I think respawn just need to pray that the overwatch team never make a BR, that would truly be the death of apex i think. At the moment it fills a niche gap in BR so it's always gonna be safe...ish.

The overwatch team just much better at map design and character concepts and balancing. The SBMM runs a lot smoother too.

@Koochi-Q  For me things had gotten worse and worse by every season. S2 had code leaf and code net issues but when you were in a game there was not this amount of lag. S3 was still playable but since S4 launch the situation has really gotten worse to the point where you can't really enjoy playing, at least that's for me.

 @MandatoryIDtag  You don't need to wait Overwatch BR. As much as someone can hate it Valorant will take lots of players from Apex. Just look at the major streamers of Apex, they are all saying they'll pretty much quit playing and move to Valorant. Now you can say who gives a * about them, but a lot of new players get to know Apex because they watch them, and if they stop playing it, less newbies will come. I'm not saying it will die though, but for sure it will be a solid hit for the playerbase

@Cro_Pittt  Is valorant currently PC only?  If so it won't be that devastating a hit really. 

@MandatoryIDtag yep PC only but console players still watch them on Twitch, no matter which device they play on. I agree it's not like it will kill Apex, but its playerbase will decrease for sure ( also because more and more people are getting tired of the bad servers and netcode).

@Cro_PitttNah. The game ran like silk before season 2 except for minor frame drops in some areas.

I also don’t think Respawn should be worried about that. I think they should be worried about Overwatch 2 if it launches between now and next 2 months.

I think Respawn felt the Warzone heat when they released solo’s after 1 week and internet immediately went berserk over it so they released duo’s ‘as a response’ with some marketing BS reason why they did it now XD but this is all speculation.

@Cro_PitttI started playing less since S2, S3 I hardly played at all until the last half... S4 I’ve not played much. Probs less than 36 hours in total. Which some may see as ‘you call that not much?!’ But knowing this season started in februari and 36 hours I used to do in 2/3 days, yea... not played at all XD. Luckily I never really had connectivity problems like code net/wheel/donkey (XD) and whatever else came up. So I was one of the lucky ones.

I do however counter the Valorant comment. Streamers are like... hmmm... (I’m really sleepy, I cant think of anything xD). They flock towards the next thing and take their flock with them. First it was Escape from Tarkov, ppl liked it and then it simmered down, then Warzone, same, now Valorant, gonna be the same. It’s always gonna be the same thing. First streamers like a game (or just say it cause they got paid) and afterwards the complaining starts.

So you’re partially right and partially wrong. A number will def leave Apex, but even without a new game they’ll do that :P

Apex still has it’s audience, but as with all audiences, the game needs to end some day and they need to go home and let the janitor sweep the benches.

@Koochi-Q  Well that's even worse, shows how the playerbase has lost its faith in the devs, which is a bit sad tbh, as i am partly in this group too. I really hope that with S5 they will change drastically the game, otherwise, it will slowly be eaten by other games. 

Oh and i disagree that every game ends someday, at least for BRs. BRs are the perfect type of game that can survive for several years if they are regularly updated and the devs listen carefully to the community and keep the game balanced, just like Apex!

Respawn has crappy ideas. EA has crappy servers. With their powers combined, they are Captain Tragic.

Seriously though. What's with the rotating maps?  Not well thought out. How can I play the new event addition within the hour or so fighting all other teams trying to play it before time expires. Just loaded with people for an instant death. Guess I'll have to wait until most get sick of it to fully enjoy the experience.
