Hot take: a 200m catapult and 40% permanent speed increase (yes it's functionally permanent, no the damage you take doesn't matter) is bad design in a game based around tight movement and tactics.

It turns it into Titanfall. Everyone is flying around on the stupid pad and the space chick has an instant, silent elevator that allows her to scale the highest heights in the game. There is a reason Titanfall is dead. It's fun, it's beloved by many. And it's spammy chaos. Spammy chaos doesn't make for a long lived game. Octane is the ultimate mindless W key legend. He drags the skill ceiling of the entire lobby down like an anchor.

This game was designed with a lack of mobility and a lack of spam in mind. Pathfinder was the only high mobility (wraith isn't mobility as much as she is aggression) hero in the game at launch. His mobility came at a huge drawback.

Then came Octane. Then Horizon. Now look at it. Isn't it exciting? That every team in ranked from plat to masters is either a revtane+blood team (immortal, high mobility, AND has wallhacks!) or a mix of Horizon/Octane/Wraith/Path. Mobility is a bad idea for this game without some serious drawbacks.
