@hayhor I mean that it understands I have a family, a job, and a life outside of it, and I am not going to try and work it like a full time job like the TTV kids do.

Perfect example is Hades. I can sit down to play that, and in an hour I always make some progress. Even early on when I was just dying a lot, I kept making little bits of progress in the story and my abilities.

Another is Destiny 2. There are plenty of rewarding activities that are perfect for a casual hour. Strikes, patrols, weekly repayable story mission, etc. Most give you a random powerful reward for completing 3 runs in the week (not day, week).

What do I get from an hour a Apex? More time in the lobby because my random squad wants to try and be TTV stars (and they tell me this with their screen name), hot drop fragments, and die in the first 2 minutes. I'm not going to try and run solo by myself as bad as I am, so back to lobby I go to hope for a better squad.

This progresses nothing, gives nothing but stress and rage. So, no, the game does not respect my time.

@Kyldenar Ok that's a good definition. What would they need to do to respect your time tho? Give you more free stuff on a free to play game? Give you easier opponents or better teammates to make you feel good? If a game isn't fun for a person, it just isn't fun. No one should keep doing something that makes them unhappy.

@hayhor Really, one of 2 things would go a long way in this game:

1) Matchmaking that put similar skill against similar skill, even if it took longer. I'd rather wait longer in the lobby for a match I enjoy than the lobby to drop to back to lobby mambo.

2) A single player story mode. We have all these characters with neat lore. Let me enjoy the lore and story.

@Kyldenar for sure. I don't understand why they even put fill. They should just drop by themselves, no fill. It's just inconvenient for teammates that don't want to drop Frag.
