@hayhorI think it destroyed fences, not sure about the interceptor pylon. I think it might have damaged them or destroyed damaged pylons? Not 100% sure typically those fights get chaotic fast. 

Before, the emp wouldn’t destroy pylons. It did a lot of damage, but didn’t destroy it if the pylon was at full health.

Another thing, the patch notes say that the emp will disable pylons. Probably means that the pylons won’t work temporarily. Or maybe they just get destroyed.

Most complain coming from competition (ALGS), since all teams have Wattson, they predict ring pattern, find the place and they're camping inside house/building/structure, build fences then stay there FOREVER !

They use pylon for :

1. Build fences  (as marker to stay away and I'm going to lit you up if you dare)

2. Block grenade and Gibby ult (hard to push in, forcing gun fight).

3. Recharging their shield  (since it's hard to get kill and loot and get cells/bat, recharging shield is really key).

Basically it's very hard to break through wattson defense, you can't throw grenade, the fence will slow you down and lit you up, you can't drain their shield (keep recharging), so they decide best way, don't risk it, stay put and get point from placement.

The audience get bored, don't want to see camping and don't want to watch,

sponsor complain since audience is decreasing and want to pull the money out,

so Respawn is forced to do something with Wattson

by taking 2 and 3 , it become "easier" to push and get more action.

But Wattson pro player will figure out something, they do this for living, so let see how it goes on the next competition.

Note: Currently EMP only destroy fences and gas trap, not the pylon itself. This change is to make pro player to consider using Crypto, they will test this on scrim, but only very aggresive team will do this, such as Rouge.

The EMP destroys her ult now try it in firing range.
