Bravo respawn, bravo. You guys can't balance legends properly, you can't balance guns right, now, respawn you can add the ring system to the growing list of things you can't do properly. Having the ring be a death sentence to anyone knocked inside by the secend stage is one of the stupidest things I've ever witnessed in gaming before, and remember fortnite is a thing.
Then play fortnite, no?
For me, having a ring that doesn't do enough damage is like not having a ring at all... I like the way it is, adapt your gamestyle to the incoming ring threat!!

Has it been upped again? Cause after the tone downs after the ring was massively buffed back when elite que was tried out in the season 2 pre patch, it was pretty good in my opinion.
But you CAN heal after being revived in ring2.
You are revived with 20%, ring does 5% every 1.5 seconds. So you have 4.5-6 seconds to heal. Bandage takes 5 seconds. So the only way to die to this is if you were revived juuust before the next damage tick hits. I'm not sure how long the revive timer is (and it's obviously different for lifeline), but knowing it, you could calculate when it's best to start reviving to avoid reviving the teammate just before a damage tick. But randomly, you should be able to heal in time 2/3 times (assuming you hit bandage button instantly). Anyway if 1st attempt fails, you can always try again. Also, a lifeline could immediately drop a healbot after reviving, which would guarantee successful heal (any amount of healing from it will mean an extra damage tick, giving extra 1.5 seconds).
Edit: normal revive time is 5 seconds, so the optimal time to start reviving would be <0.5 seconds before next damage tick (but not more). Best way to do it: start reviving immediately after a damage tick - this will leave 0.5 s leeway for the revived teammate to press bandage in time.
Lifeline revive is 4 seconds, which means that starting the revive immediately after tick would kill the teammate. Need to wait >0.5 sec after damage tick before starting the revive. Dropping a heal drone after revive is simpler in this case. Without healing drone, aim to start reviving roughly halfway between ticks (0.7-1 sec after tick).
The only problem with the ring is it was way to pathetic when the game released! Was litterally the only BR with a laughable rin . It should hurt and kill you, stay away from the edges and come to the middle and fight!
Grab some guns and a shield and go. Loot what is on the way. Other players generally have the best loot for you instead of searching every nook and cranny of the areas you dropped in.
The voiced lines from characters literally give you updates every 30 seconds to get a move on, along with a HUGE alarm sound when it does.
If you really must play outside the ring to make top 5 or whatever your aimin for, skip shield cells and just pick up syringes and med kits and heal before you go below 25%
If you're outside the ring after round 2 you deserve to die lol.
