S14 review and S15 hype level

Well, checking my stats, the only seasons I played less than this one was seasons 7 and 8 (Horizon and Fuse introductions).

My most played season is season 9 (Valk introduction). Because that was when I finally realized Apex seemed familiar because it was set in same setting as Titanfall 2, but with this stupid system where you have to scrounge the map for the rest of the parts of your gun before you can have a whole gun (at least we don't have to find the firing pin too before we can shoot).

Stat wise, this season shows that I have given up on ever really improving and just play my 2-5 matches a day as "_________" and then log out for the most part. My KDR and wins for the season is wayyyy down from my Season 11 high, and my KDR was never good to start with (I hover in the .2 to .3 ranges).

However, I have learned with this season that you can play casually, 2-5 matches per day then log out, and still get enough challenges done on accident to get into the 60 range on the season pass free track. So, I got that going for it. Also ensures enough legend tokens to buy the next legend at the start.

So, I have learned to play this game as a Joke Comedy Shooter and still get the characters each season.

Unless I am playing with @reconzero - then we play serious cause seems like we can always make top 3, if not top 2 or even winning.

For S14, I give it a 3/10. Just not much to draw me in, and while the character of Vantage annoys me less than most of the board (likely because I raised kids, and yes, you don't remember but you ALSO were that annoying at that age, we all are) the mechanics just don't fit my playstyle. I am not a long ranger fighter in this game, I engage at Marksman ranges at most. It's also annoying that they SHOW HER WITH THE STUPID EYE PIECE and yet you still have to find a 2x scope or put your guns away to make it work. It should just work.

For S15, I give it a tentative 8/10, if only because it looks like they are finally introducing an Anti-Scan character. Hopefully that is true. And hopefully with the Season Balance Pass, they take a look at the roster and realize they have a guy who's entire character is based around "being off the grid" and "trying to keep us under the radar" and give Crypto some much needed love in the passive department....
