So hear me out on this,You can't play pubs because 90% of the games your playing against a 50k preds/masters who are just running through lobbies or 100k kills players who only play pubs Then you go to ranked where it is FULL of smurfs right up to gold and Respawn are not banning smurfs even tho they said they would. I confirmed this with a individual who works at respawn (NOT on the enforcement team) who said "its not there to ban people its more of a way to scare people into thinking they might be banned" I've known the guy years!Today I came across a smurf in Plat1, he said he's smurfing because he likes easy kills. He was on my team and was telling me that he's had this smurf account since season 4. Remove the smurfs or fix the sbmm please 🙏

@Zkepz Sbmm is definitely not working, recent reddit post saw 83% of people say that they believe its broken. Why would I have to ever play against pro's with 20k plus kills.There will always be smurfs unless they fix it, maybe every new account you have to put in your bank details and if your cuaght cheating/smurfing you have to pay a £20 fine or something

@CCbathwater Youre not alone man. Had a blast with these two randoms who maximized the abilities of their legends. Rev ults and Wraith portals were used but this is like only a 1 out of every 20 game occurrence. I love it when there’s actual teamplay without even using mics (no one talks in Tokyo).

In my world the SBMM works fairly well and pubs is ok - if you end up with smurfs and crazy matches you earned it by sweating to hard yourself :D however ranked is another thing, smurfs mess up the lower segments very hard and is at the moment ruining several segments of the ranked gameplay..I have to admit I do "smurf" myself but not in the smurfing sense, I restrict myself to p2020 only and a long range weapon I suck at to be able to play with my daughter when she is playing (and i make sure I dont sweat, pure fun and fooling around) - her lifespan together with my main I think avgs to 10-15 seconds :P so I try just keep her alive and make her day and at the same time not ruin the day for the normal players in her segment, I would perhaps not call him a smurf, more an alt to play with my daughter...

@LOLclever Hideouts actually confirmed what the smurfing thing is for and it isn't to stop multiple accounts. It is to stop the people exploiting by throwing games with new accounts to stay in new player lobbies. So if you see what you think is a smurf, report them. If they are doing what Hideouts deems as exploiting they will be banned.

@hayhor Not one smurf has been banned thats been confirmed, a dev replied to a tweet saying no smurfs have been banned as of yet as its hard to tell if there smurfing, or switching platforms or doing something like bronze to pred. I asked hideouts is tsm hals chat when will we see the smurfs get bans and he said cheaters take priority maybe in the near future hell get on it.

@Axs5626Sxa5001 can't be 100% equal as that impossible however I should never have to play against preds/masters/20k plus kills on 1 legend. Make the games skill based matched.

@LOLclever In my opinion the matchmaking is not broken and it’s working as intended. That is, it prioritizes lower queue times rather than “quality” opponents sadly. I’ve made a thread before on how it works based on developer statements on how MM works and individual experiences.

As for the smurfing, I think Respawn should do something about it. Maybe what they can do is to have your phone number be a requirement to play like in 2 factor authentication. Yes, there’s still ways to go around that but casual smurfs wouldn’t even bother.

@Cheese9Man I honestly can't remember the last match I played when I haven't got killed by a sweat or even a pro, best way to fix it is that if you have a 20bomb then you only play against people with 20bomb.... that would also be great payback for the teamers/boosters who got there badge the wrong way as they will have to play against good players only.

A way I've always said to get rid of smurfs and cheaters is that you have to put in your bank details on every new account..... that way if your cuaght cheating or smurfing you have a £20 fine to pay.
