SBMM Gives me the Dumbest Teammates and I go Against People with Common Sense

My friend and I have come across this problem too many times to count. We'll come off of a win, and our third next game is some Level 30 or less who has no idea what he's doing. I would just like randoms who are in my squad, to have some experience and ACTUALLY match my skill, who don't just blindly run into a fight, or just goes looting while we are getting pushed.

I'm not saying I'm top tier, because my KD only runs around a 1.5-1.7, but I dont feel I'm asking for anything excessive when I say, "If you're going to implement 'skill based matchmaking', then make it ACTUALLY skill based.

Idk man. I think sbmm is surprisingly good. I had a random squad with a pathy and we died quick. The next match the same pathy was in my squad again and I was thinking oh *... We ending up being champions with 6/5/5 kills and avg 1.5k dmg each.

I’m honestly shocked that there are some people here that still don’t know what the SBMM algorithm is doing when you solo queue. 

If you are above average or if the SBMM system has “flagged you” for being a strong player, the algorithm will absolutely prioritize giving you weaker teammates so that the team is “balanced”.

This is TOTALLY fair in theory but serious issues occur when certain pre-made teams get dropped into the same lobby. In THIS event, the SBMM algorithm is actually setting you up to lose. A strong player with two lower level players (who typically don’t have mics— which is an entirely different issue) CANNOT compete with a premade team of 3 players who are typically above average. 

The SBMM is failing in this regard and I think it has to do with the algorithm prioritizing its ability to construct a lobby as quickly as possible. 

Personally, I think random lobbies would still be the “fairest” type of lobby, but if they are going to have SBMM, it would be nice if the structure didn’t ACTIVELY work against stronger players.

I myself have noticed players do this, however the reason most do this is because there are know players to be cheating and if you run into a group that is always hitting you for some reason, then you don't fight and you choose your battles. Not everyone is Jesus and can drop a whole squad. I myself know some aren't cheating but I have had games where I'm feeling better then before and I'm playing even better, even to the point where I have nearly hit every shot I make. So knowing this you shouldn't rush combat solo because some people are like me playing bad for a bit but that one game your Jesus for some reason and you get 5 or more kills and win the game without dieing. Idk how or why this phenomenon really happens but I only know is pick your battles and test your playtime to different games and run the fire range with a friend and battle to improve aim. My opinion I guess.

@Okra-Bolero I agree. This is a team game. I'm not a nanny.
