It seems really strange. Normally the more you do something the better you get. I've been playing Apex for 2 years. My kd started at 0.7 and I gradually got it up to 1.1. It stayed there for a long time and then from season 7 I started to get better and eventually got my kd up to 1.5 and it stayed there throughout season 8 and 9. Since towards the end of season 9 my skill level has gradually decreased. Season 10 my kd was 1.2 and so far through season 11 it's just under 1.1.Surprising that for the past 4 months I've been getting worse at the game! Very frustrating.

I think SBMM is a bit more messed up this season as well. I notice the champion squad has 20 bomb and 4k badges a lot more often. Plus I'm seeing a lot more dive trails than normal.Nearly every game is the same. Really sweaty, really difficult and it's pretty much the same outcome. Get 0-2 kills and die by the 1st or 2nd squad. Around 1 in 15 games is different and I might get 3 or 4 kills and finish in the top 5.Its just getting really boring spending hours and hours grinding out all the rubbish games just to have 1 half decent game every other day.This would normally happen every now and again and after a couple of weeks it would get better but it has lasted for 4 months like this now and I'm getting quite tired of it. I just wish I had another game to play instead but I find most other games boring.

Bruh, you are lucky. My skill never improved. I am stalled just like when I began since season 5. My K/D is 0.6. I am looking at my stats on Xbox right now. 2544 games played, 1669 lifetime kills, 2445 deaths. 584k damage inflicted. Yeah they suck so much. I have tried to improve but I have failed. And I am still getting put in lobbies with much better players than me. Gosh why am I still playing with a controller, it just sucks so much.

My KD was bad (under 1) on previous season, I thought it was rock bottom, actually not yet, still dropping 40% this season. LOL.I mostly play rank so I can blame on new map since I'm not familiar with the layout so easily got lost and not positioning correctly.Started familiar with the map now...expect climb a little bit.Note:I don't put the exact KD so I don't shame myself in public :P

@AcidicSoda44031 You did those numbers on remote play? Isn't there lag?Either way those are awesome numbers.

Most likely, other players are improving faster or you are facing more skilled players.
You're probably having the same problem I'm having. Whenever I enter the arena game my teammates are really bad players (mostly low tier) but my opponents are high rank.
Whenever I talk about this on the forum, one of the "Top XP Authors" comes and takes the subject in another direction.They will come under this topic and write something to justify EA or Apex.

@Marge010 I haven't tracked my k/d stat on games in a very long time, but I felt this way around season 9, and some of season 10. There for a solid 1-2 seasons, I literally just couldn't do much on Apex. I was losing gun fights that I should have been winning. I honestly still don't know what the difference was, but it feels much more "normal" this season, for me. I am back to winning fights and matches much more frequently, and having more fun again. I have just chalked it up as "fatigue" for Apex, Lmao.

Team mates definitely don't help. I'm definitely an average/slightly above average player, in my opinion. I just recently got my first 2.5k badge. There is absolutely no reason that I should be paired up with actual noobs (account level 50 or below). In the same sense, I know high-skill players probably complain when they get me as a team mate, and they should!! There is definitely a skill gap between me and a master/pred player, and definitely a gap between me and a new player, so I'm still confused as to how I get paired with these people.

If you've been playing only/primarily Apex, I would honestly recommend a sort of break from it, if you have other games to play for a week or two. Hopefully you can get back in your groove!! I have faith in you!

Last season was the first season I played (since season four) where my kdr went down, but it's back up this season (but not close to Season 9, my best season 1.62).
After a week of Apex my kdr was 0.09 so I think I have improved a little 🙂

@Marge010 Have you changed legends or play style? These two things can have a huge affect on kd.

@Marge010 I'm in agreement with @l_mRGogo on this one, or at least partially anyway.
I think the point he raised about the playerbase steadily improving is an extremely valid one...it's literally inevitable at this stage in the games life cycle.
However I think sbmm is clearly an active factor as well.
It could also be that your simply burnt out lol, happens to us all at some point. 😛

@Marge010 same except its probably worse. Playing on console is becoming a colossal waste of time for me. I kid you not, yesterday I played for like 4-5 hours, only to increase my kill count from 750 to 760. I could have stared at the lobby the whole time and it would have been pretty much the same thing.
