Stop matchmaking with incompetents

My previous seasons all had positive KD

This season is negative.

Constantly paired with people who literally drop late and drop in the middle of nowhere near no loot.

They can't down an empty plastic bottle between the pair of them.

It's making this game absolutely unbearable.

I feel like my only option is to play toxic - if teammates drop bad, instant quit.

If teammates get downed. Quit. If I get downed quit.

Starting to feel like it's the only way to play - is this behaviour supported?

  • @1ronKeysI just want to stop being matched with Duos who don't want to play with their 3rd & go die in the 1st round. And also stop getting 4k 20 kill players as opponents. If Apex is trying to make me a better player I'm not enjoying it.

    @hayhorA game that actually knows to put in a solo mode as players can get tired of team play. Love Finals for that.

    @reconzero No PvE modes. It does have a lot more to think about than a regular arenas shooter. And those things you think about but your randoms don't will make you a bit crazy at times. It is free to try. My suggestion is to play bank it to learn the game from a gadget and gun play perspective. The cash out mode in tournament play is fun. Don't bother using light builds in cashout. They are useless from a team perspective.
  • Can someone explain? Was Matchmaking better in season 13?

    @USAno54

    If I'm reading that right, it's not about the matchmaking algorithm per se, but about the ranking system in general. The only thing on that list that might affect matchmaking is the "removed MMR," which, if I understand correctly, will not have any effect on a normal player, but only on people where performance and time-in-game do not match up to the statistical average. Smurfs, basically. Someone correct me if I'm misunderstanding the purpose and function of MMR.

    @USAno54Removed MMR should mean matching with and against people around your rank. This should stop a current silver from being in a current master lobby.
