My previous seasons all had positive KDThis season is negative.Constantly paired with people who literally drop late and drop in the middle of nowhere near no loot.They can't down an empty plastic bottle between the pair of them.It's making this game absolutely unbearable. I feel like my only option is to play toxic - if teammates drop bad, instant quit.If teammates get downed. Quit. If I get downed quit.Starting to feel like it's the only way to play - is this behaviour supported?

@1ronKeysThe way this game "balances" matchmaking is to put high-experience solo queue players with much less-experienced teammates. They don't try to balance within the squad, only within the match. This is why I get something very similar to what you're getting, only in my case the two inexperienced players ALWAYS drop into some center-of-map dumpster fire where they're lucky to survive 45 seconds, and I'm the one who always drops alone on the edge, as far from danger as possible.I never used to quit when they went down. I used to play on as far as I could go as a solo. But the last few seasons I usually just quit and re-queue and hope for better matchmaking. But, as noted above, there isn't any better matchmaking. Even when I get squadmates with banners that show they're capable of getting kills, they still drop center and die early. All anyone cares about in this game is kills. It's like they're not even aware of the fact that this an objective-based game.

@1ronKeys I hadn't played for a week. Tonight I tried as Iike 3 strikes. I made it through 3 games. Players had no idea how to shoot or prioritize a fast rez. I had to stop as it was triggering me. I went and played Finals solo mode and had a blast.

@reconzero Definitely try The Finals. Its free to play, Unreal 5 tech, and the devs have pumped out more content and fixes in a few weeks than Respawn has delivered for Apex in several seasons. It doesn't replace Apex for me but is really well done and super fun.

@1ronKeysI just want to stop being matched with Duos who don't want to play with their 3rd & go die in the 1st round. And also stop getting 4k 20 kill players as opponents. If Apex is trying to make me a better player I'm not enjoying it.@hayhorA game that actually knows to put in a solo mode as players can get tired of team play. Love Finals for that.

Equally I hate dropping far and slowly looting your perfect loadout seeing not a single enemy for 20 minutes and then they teammates get wiped immediately.

Whether we're pushing or strategising just do it with at least half a brain or ounce of competency.

Is it the 20 quiet minutes you hate, the perfect load out, or the 20 minute wait for the squamate implosion? Or all three?

Tell me more about The Finals. Is this a free-for-all arena shooter mode you're talking about? What made it fun?

@reconzeroYeah the finals is an arena shooter with abilities and custom loadouts. The differentiator is that everything on the map including buildings is destructible. This feature makes each game feel unique. The game is free. The studio is the battlefield guys who did the original destruction in that game. I suggest giving it a whirl. I've got over 100 hours in now and do not see stopping. The core mode is 3 man teams but the last few weeks they have been trying different solo modes.

@reconzero The wait for the implosion. Sometimes the journey makes it feel like an open world exploration which cannn be fun on occasion. But to go thru all that for instant death is not the one.

Oh, how I'd like to have another game on the side as a diversion. But nothing feels as claustrophobic to me as an arena shooter. They're 3% strategy and 97% tactics in the form of gunplay. BR is the opposite and that's why I escaped to it from Halo. Not sure I could go back again unless the developer is handing out aimbots at the door. But I'll look into it a little more. Are there any PvE game modes?????

There seems to be an influx of new players/noobs the last few days. I play solo and have been paired with day-1 noobs at least 90% of the time each game... I feel your pain.

Eventhough I still feel MM is better this season than it's been for many many seasons, there are still too many matches where I just get 7-8 people on my Control team where it's just like "what are you guys doing!?!??", and the thing is... they're actually not doing anything, at all, ever!
As much as I love Control... in some of these lobbies I can carry my team on GR and TDM, but Control...? There are 9 opponents! Plus I have to defend and attack 3 control points at the same time. I can't, so I give up.
