So I play solo. It seems most players want a sick 2 min YouTube video for clicks where they kill a bunch and if it happens 1/100 they will keep hot dropping every time and if their team suffers as a result no problem whatsoever. The most selfish players, I get more teamwork on sweaty COD. This is why we need a solo only mode.

seriously...and it's usually the players that aren't that good. I solo que and in pubs, it's like a 90% chance it would be a hot drop with randoms if I'm not jumpmaster. Most of them are dogsh.. at the game too. Makes me wonder if they do that every game: que in die in less than 2mins, que up again, then die again in less than 2 mins, que up again...etc. How's that even fun?? They must have short attention spans. I was excited about this game when I restarted playing again after 3 years, but honestly, the solo que experience is ruining it for me. Also, it's hard af to find friends on this game because nobody uses mics lol.
it's funny, but this also happens in ranked. The lowest ranked player will sometimes get the lead and they'll hot drop and die right away.

I think a lot of not-so-good players think hot dropping will help them git gud. It's the advice I heard about tilted towers in fortnite: JUST KEEP DROPPING YOU'LL GET BETTER (good player laughs as he drops hot and farms easy kills)

Haven't seen a streamer recommend in words, but some have that 1 in 100,000,000 game were they do very well hot dropping and people try emulate despite the large gap in skills and range factoring into what they find "if they have any loot to pick up", also notice some people from here recommend it saying "it helps improve" but it really doesn't for majority of the playerbase.
2. The "good tactics" are rarely used, the solo que idiots I keep seeing always pick the same movement "oct, valk, path" and almost immediately aggro camp "stay in a building and constantly shoot at other squads". They have this assumption that they can get away if things go bad but they never realize their crippling themselves while indoors or really account for another squad pushing at a unseen angle. As much as the player doesn't like em, this is were the set up defense legends shine "Caus., Watts, Ramp" cause they can limit/punish another squads movement, making them either stay at range or risk a suicide push, support wise Crypto "can scan without revealing team's position" and Loba "easy resupply if the ult has enough time to charge". Otherwise you want to have open mics for constant communication "hence premades doing very well."
3. Low level warzone maybe ? Can't think of another game were landing on top of other squads would be viable.
