The design changes of Ranked is ruining what people liked about public matches. Some don't care about Ranked Respawn, you're going to alienate them. How Respawn never thought of this before implementation, shows they don't know the majority of the community as well as they think.The majority of profits come from casuals and/ or people who don't play Ranked, yet most of the suggestions and/ or changes come from streamers and/ or EA Game Changers who don't spend money on the game, but make it with donations.Apex Legends didn't become popular because people were hiding in a corner just to use Valkyrie's ultimate to reposition. It became what it is today because of interesting movement, great moments and/ or shots.1) Ranked needs a practice mode so teams and/ or groups can play there to warm up over using public.2) Valkyrie needs a nerf and/ or massive rework.Respawn is trying to change the fundamentals of the game into a competitive title, but Apex Legends will never be what Valorant is, just not possible and it seems Respawn can't understand this notion.

I think the point about casuals spending the most money in the game…which is accurate in total, though pros and streamers probably spend more per person on average, is that if you design your game to satisfy a minority, it is a bad business model.This is something I’ve been on about for a while at least. Pros and streamers might know the game very well but you can’t design a game around what satisfies them if it hurts the rest of the player base, because it is a fallacy that what is good for them is good for the game.Ranked, far as I can tell in any game, does not serve as a ‘road to pro’. It’s a thing for regular gamers to enjoy and be more competitive with and there is a big difference. Healthy ranked participation is good for any game as much as fun casual game modes. Different appeals. Right now ranked seems to not be fun for a lot of people, and if pubs aren’t either, that’s bad.Respawn knows the real stats. If I’m wrong and somehow the new ranked system is growing the game, then of course they should stick with it. I know it’s not a good idea to base the data on a few weeks of play either, but I’m sure it will be apparent to them before the split.In the meantime, for me, yeah sorry I play in pubs now. It’s become far better. I don’t play as much either, but Apex can still appeal. Not in ranked for me right now though.

I think he's alluding to a few things:- Pubs is used as 'warm up' by high tier players - basically stomping on those of us who play little, and play casually (some of us don't have days on end to play)- With the changes to ranked, a lot aren't bothering with it - so their jumping in and pub stomping instead- The high tier players who get teamed with lower level players (because heaven forbid teams are evened out a bit), will drop hot, die, and leave you stuck HAVING to rat (ever try to go 1v3 with a pred team? Not fun)Basically, the entire game at this point, is being aimed at pros, streamers, etc... the casual players have been forgotten, and no one cares - we're told to suck it up and 'just play better'.

@SewerTierGamer They've always used pubs as warm up games or when they wanted to just mess around. Nothing much changed there.And those players that wanted this change would be playing rank by now so they won't really be in pubs stomping people.Those players that leave have always been a scourge in pubs and I've always been hoping they'd do something about it.At the start of the new season a lot of the high rank players usually just sit back for a bit and let the rank sort it self out for a week or two before jumping in and grinding. That could be the reason why there's so many high rank players in pubs right now. Even I stopped playing for a week cause pubs was really sweaty with high rank players just running around.I don't see the changes in rank affecting casuals directly but what it did do is just amplified the horrible state of pub matchmaking in apex.

@Daze623 The biggest change is a lot of high level people that used to play ranked are now in pubs. My lobbies in pubs are much more balanced to the high end now. Everyone has trails of some sort.

For me, it was like somebody flipped a switch over the holiday weekend here in the US. Lots of kids are now off school and it is about that time when everyone gets hard stuck in Ranked so they just give up on it and play pubs instead.

I am average at best and have had a decent start to the season in pubs with all the better players grinding ranked early. In the last 2 days, I've seen a bunch of what Cheese posted and am back to getting melted in milliseconds like previous seasons.

I personally blame Apex's trash SBMM for not being able to handle the influx of players properly.

Honestly, I was really enjoying having some success early and feeling like I was getting better but that must have been a fantasy. Now I'm back to feeling like a failure, hating myself and walking the line between just not playing for a few weeks and rage quitting and uninstalling. 🤣

It’s crazy that those pics are pubs lol.

If they are going to force people to play in these high MMR pubs, they need to reward players for it.

Being an above average player and playing in an above average MMR lobby is NOT the same as being a below average player and playing in a below average MMR lobby.

High MMR lobbies are stressful (one mistake means you die). When there is no significant reward for that, it devalues the entire experience.

A) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone.

With Respawn changing Ranked to where it's better to camp then to risk fighting at the start of the 1st round, public games have seen an influx of 3 stack predators. Also, I'm only talking about PC lobbies. I totally understand that public games were used for warming up, but now public games are massively different. Some of the solo queue streamers are even talking about it.

What I think happened is no one took into account how many people actually only play public games.

B) The second part (game data and/ or changes).

EA and/ or Respawn only use high level influencers and/ or EA game changers data to add and/ or change in Apex Legends (they don't use anyone that's an Activision partner). EA Game Changers that are friends with the heads of either EA and/ or Respawn get to send in their own opinions on what they would like changed in Apex Legends.

Currently, Answers.EA (this site), Twitter, YouTube and/ or reddit opinions and/ or discussion are not taken into consideration for upcoming changes into Apex Legends.

Basically what I'm saying is that the majority of people that fund Apex Legends success are not listened to. It's true everyone should have an opinion, but Respawn doesn't do that. It listens to high end influencers and/ or people that make money from Apex Legends, not the people that fund it.

Respawn wants to make Apex Legends into something like Valorant, but Valorant became successful because it doesn't offer support for aim assist while also having amazing servers.

If I made it more confusing let me know, I'll try and change it.
