Tips for Plat?

I am playing with a Pre-Made squad and we are trying to get out of Plat... we have never really taken it too seriously but after seeing each other all improve massively we have decided to try and push to Diamond this season, Diamond Season 7 and then by season 8 we might try and push Master.

Anyway, that is besides the point for now but... 

We are finding Plat very difficult at the moment, we are all players with a K/D of around 1.2 - 1.5 stormed through Gold but are finding these lobbies more challenging.

Does anyone have any advice on what we could do as a squad to possibly make our games that little bit better? 

Main legend choices in the team are usually... 

  • Bloodhound 
  • Wraith 
  • Lifeline 

Or 

  • Bloodhound 
  • Wraith 
  • Mirage 

Any tips would really help!

    @rockyboy1998 You can do it, i reached Diamond in the first split solo queuing. The first legend selection is an aggressive comp, good for pushing teams around the map mostly, so you should have always good aim and good rotation. If you find it difficult you can change and play a bit more passive, adding a caustic or a Wattson or even Gibby instead of lifeline/bloodhound. I'd suggest to avoid using legends such as Mirage, Rampart, Octane, Loba and Bangalore because they are pretty much useless compared to the other legends.

    In terms of tips, well make sure that when you engage you end quickly the battle because for sure a 3rd party is coming. If you see that a gunfight is on going for too long just disengage and focus on rotation or play safe for a bit so you can 3rd party someone. If you want you can get 1-2 fights at the start of the game then just go to the last safe and wait because you have already some points and playing aggressively is pointless. Hope this helps you a bit.

    Oh Bear in mind that there are still some predators in Platinum that have to grind after the split so lobbies are more difficult than usual now, maybe that's one of the reasons for your struggle.

    I honestly wouldn't bother with mirage, any player worth their salt will know exactly whats a decoy and whats not.

    @rockyboy1998 I don't think it really matters which legend, just improve your teamwork, aim, and positioning... take a fight on landing which makes your odds about 50/50 to win that fight and then camp to the end because you guys will already have kill points. ez

    @rockyboy1998 depends on your teams playstyle.
    If your team likes to fight I suggest taking Rev
    If your team is more defensive taking Caustic or Gib is a good choice too
    Honestly though just play enough games and you'll get out eventually that's how I got to Diamond
